Kinda hope LSU beats Bama.I think at 11-1, were in no matter what. But, to get a home game, we've got to hope for at least two "massive upsets" for teams ahead of us, in addition to the head to heads where someone will lose (Tenn, Indiana).
I'm worried Bama will just us, because Bama.
If we get in, I hope we play PSU so we can expose those frauds, even if it's at their place.
I have a feeling GT beats Miami and Utah wakes up to trip BYU this week.Oregon and Miami (FL) are locks to go undefeated, IMO. Nobody is touching them on their remaining schedules.
Boise is basically a lock from the G5.
Plus if we win at USC then that’d be two common opponents that we beat and they lost to.I am def hoping LSU wins... How in the world could they be ranked ahead of us with 2 losses and the fact we beat AM on the road and they lost???
If LSU beats Bama this weekend, they will be ahead of us. And they will have earned it. Lose and they are history and a non factor.Plus if we win at USC then that’d be two common opponents that we beat and they lost to.
EVERY season, Notre Dame is ridiculed for using their good losses to merit being in the playoff discussion.
This year they beat a top tier SEC team by two scores on the road, and NOW good losses are viewed more favorably than better wins?
Agreed, I think 7 is prob the highest ND could get to. If some craziness happens 6 isn't out of the realm of possibility either.Just need to get to 8 or better to host
Unfortunately I think ur right. The circle jerk for the SEC is in full swing…This is the week ND ends up behind multiple 2 loss SEC teams - Bama, Georgia, and Ole Miss. I would like to be wrong but I don't think so
Yep. They kind of have to all be behind us or all be in front of us.This is the week ND ends up behind multiple 2 loss SEC teams - Bama, Georgia, and Ole Miss. I would like to be wrong but I don't think so
Should be at 8 in the next rankings but possibly 7.
Don't think Ole Miss is going to be higher than 13th when the polls come out. Irish at 8 and Bama/Ga right behind at 9/10.This is the week ND ends up behind multiple 2 loss SEC teams - Bama, Georgia, and Ole Miss. I would like to be wrong but I don't think so
Ole Miss should be ahead of Georgia IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if we're still 10 or even drop a spot. Bama and BYU will be ahead of usDon't think Ole Miss is going to be higher than 13th when the polls come out. Irish at 8 and Bama/Ga right behind at 9/10.
Justification:imo, it should be:
Oregon
OSU
Indiana
Tenn
BYU
PSU
Texas
ND
Bama
UGA
Boise St
Ole Miss
SMU
Miami
TN/GA next week and IU/o$u the week after will be a couple games to keep an eye onJustification:
- Tennessee’s Bama win is huge for them
- Penn State and Texas, no bad losses, but no good wins
- ND big win over A&M and playing their best ball rn
- Bama highest rated 2-loss
- SMU has better wins than Miami
Georgia got their ass whipped by ole miss far worse than the score suggests. Georgia did nothing on offense - their only TD was scored on a short field. Ole Miss kicked five field goals, several were very short. Could have easily been a 40 something to 10 game. It would defy all logic for anyone to believe Georgia should be ranked higher.Don't think Ole Miss is going to be higher than 13th when the polls come out. Irish at 8 and Bama/Ga right behind at 9/10.
Indiana's best win is... Washington?imo, it should be:
Oregon
OSU
Indiana
Tenn
BYU
PSU
Texas
ND
Bama
UGA
Boise St
Ole Miss
SMU
Miami
Just makes me more angry tbh.![]()

FWIW we’re up to #4 in ESPN’s FPI. The closest we’ve ever been to #1 from a points perspective in the ~20 years of their metric. We’re only 2.8 away from #1 Bama.
If nothing else, shows how dominant the team has been outside of NIU.
