I think at 11-1, were in no matter what. But, to get a home game, we've got to hope for at least two "massive upsets" for teams ahead of us, in addition to the head to heads where someone will lose (Tenn, Indiana).

I'm worried Bama will just us, because Bama.

If we get in, I hope we play PSU so we can expose those frauds, even if it's at their place.
Kinda hope LSU beats Bama.
Not sure how this all would flush out regarding to playoff seeding but I have a feeling Ole Piss beats UGA and then UGA beats Tenn.

I think this committee is trying to guarantee that the SEC gets 4 teams in, no matter what. Same for the Big Ten it seems (unless Indiana loses twice). Combine that with the ACC champ, the Big 12 champ and the 5th highest conference champ, that leaves 1 opening. That could leave ND out, honestly.

But, it's college football and all of this will shake itself out. There will be some top 10 upsets and there are the head to heads. I still think ND controls it's own destiny by winning out.

I am def hoping LSU wins... How in the world could they be ranked ahead of us with 2 losses and the fact we beat AM on the road and they lost???

Plus if we win at USC then that’d be two common opponents that we beat and they lost to.
If LSU beats Bama this weekend, they will be ahead of us. And they will have earned it. Lose and they are history and a non factor.

EVERY season, Notre Dame is ridiculed for using their good losses to merit being in the playoff discussion.

This year they beat a top tier SEC team by two scores on the road, and NOW good losses are viewed more favorably than better wins?

We're on a collision path for a 7/10 ND vs Georgia game. We'll somehow avoid an easy BYU team by 1 slot, I can feel it.

Don't think Ole Miss is going to be higher than 13th when the polls come out. Irish at 8 and Bama/Ga right behind at 9/10.
Ole Miss should be ahead of Georgia IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if we're still 10 or even drop a spot. Bama and BYU will be ahead of us

UGA

Justification:
- Tennessee’s Bama win is huge for them
- Penn State and Texas, no bad losses, but no good wins
- ND big win over A&M and playing their best ball rn
- Bama highest rated 2-loss
- SMU has better wins than Miami

Georgia got their ass whipped by ole miss far worse than the score suggests. Georgia did nothing on offense - their only TD was scored on a short field. Ole Miss kicked five field goals, several were very short. Could have easily been a 40 something to 10 game. It would defy all logic for anyone to believe Georgia should be ranked higher.

The haven't looked great all year. Even their win against Texas was sloppy - Beck threw three picks and looked lost. They escaped Kentucky largely due to stoops losing his balls in the fourth quarter and not going for it on 4th and a foot. They let miss State hang around, Florida lost their QB mid game which certainly helped them. We're only having this discussion bc they're Georgia.

tbh if I was UGA I would be scared shitless of having to end my season with the Ramblin’ Wreck the way both teams have been playing.

Indiana's best win is... Washington?
Penn State's best win is... Illinois?
BYU just needed a miracle to beat Utah.

Basically we should be #5.

FWIW we’re up to #4 in ESPN’s FPI. The closest we’ve ever been to #1 from a points perspective in the ~20 years of their metric. We’re only 2.8 away from #1 Bama.

If nothing else, shows how dominant the team has been outside of NIU.

Just makes me more angry tbh.
