To start, I was pretty on board with defending Ivey at the end of the season. I do think there were emotional overreactions.

However as Mike said, anytime we had a slight disagreement during the year, we were cordial to one another. It’s all fun. It’s not blood sweat and tears.

Bua, please go away if you can’t keep it that way. Your comments to Mike are very unnecessary. And there is nothing wrong with his fandom as an NDWBB supporter.
Yeah, I appreciate Old Man Mike's posts on here. He's always very insightful!

Agree with the collective. I see zero issue with Old Man Mike’s posts - why is someone throwing a hissy fit?

Just put Bua on ignore if you don’t like him, no one is forcing you to engage with this person.
True. But he was generally cool and brought good intel in the Ask Mercke (and Bua) threads. Picking a fight with Mike over... what?... in this one seems completely unnecessary, is all.

He's bored and lonely living in his parents basement. Most likely contemplating growing a man-bun so he can get in touch with his feminine side. 👍

Re: Koval. I never got the impression that she shied away from hard coaching --- no real info on that at all. She seemed to be trying all season long to improve, just wasn't getting there quickly. As with several posters here, I saw a raw talent here, which emphasized the rarer commodity of true size (Height, bulk, and length) in the paint, and who did not shy away from the hard contact. She needs coaching and time and reps. I don't have any "warm spot" for Mulkey, but I bet that Koval becomes a force down there --- might take a couple of years. This is a coordination, footwork, "settle-a-moment-with-the-ball" kind of thing quite common with big slow-footed girls (guys too for that matter.) .... and LSU seems to have good NIL resources for female BBallers too. I feel that her transfer is truly a lost opportunity for us.

On offense, she always seemed to me to be trying to figure out where she needed to be on the court which, is not uncommon for a lot of kids when they are getting their feet wet.

What is the roster next year? Hidalgo, Prosper, Macy, ???

Is Bransford gonna be effective post injury?

Niele Ivy could be the worst recruiter Notre Dame has ever had in any sport the way this is trending. Hidalgo may not have a choice but to transfer. If you are Hidalgos agent or handler what are you telling her?

So I hate to even ask but was Olivia to TCU in motion before we played them? Or how does that work? Immediately after loss, “Coach I really like your teams style, can I come play for you?”

Man. Ivey has a real rabbit she needs to pull here to even salvage a season.

Well, it's only sensible to believe that Ivey and Mikayla are talking a lot to Hannah to convince her that "many" incoming players are in contact with the staff. Too bad that we can't get that sort of private staff information as to who. Because the numbers gap is so atrocious, one almost must believe that any decent player in the portal who has the grades is being contacted. The opportunity to start immediately must have SOME drawing power.

When I saw the in-game behavior of Hannah always looking around at the free-throw line for Soni to come and give her a long two hand handshake (Big Sister// Little Sister; and Hannah really wanting and liking that) that something was a little fragile here, and Soni was, again, the glue holding it together. Soni is now gone. .... not perhaps the best time.

Maybe the guys that play on the bench can just identify as women… bam… win-win for both programs. Fill the roster and get some guys some floor time.

There were some clues that all wasn’t as good as the record said. They painted a couple of Picasso’s and were talented enough to beat a lot of teams. But anyone who was looking closely at team dynamic could see the faint outline of some cracks.
