ND hires Jonathan Sanderson for strength and conditioning coach. Significant because his son is a top 50 PG in the 2026 class and his adopted son is a top 100 center in the 2026 class. He’s also one of the best in the field. He was most notably with Michigan and scuffled with Juwan Howard

Nice. Well regarded coach during his time at Michigan. Any coach that willfully wanted to fight Juwan Howard is more than welcome.
Fvck Michigan.

I think this is a good idea. Seems both teams could use a little guidance right now.

On one hand - in this day of NIL and the portal you need a GM more than ever and his resume makes sense. On the other hand, the administrative bloat of colleges and universities is disgusting.

Great hire with Garrity, he played & succeeded here to get himself into the NBA, and he understands the bigger picture of what Notre Dame can do for you.

Multiple commitments for MBB in the last couple days. Two guys who transferred to LaLumiere when we hired Sanderson as S & C coach. One is Sanderson's son a top 50 Point Guard and the other a 7 footer from Mongolia who is ranked 99th nationally by 247. Sanderson is the legal guardian for the mongolian kid.

Not sure if the various actions by the administration in DC will make it down to athletes in the US on student visas, we'll see how that pans out.

Shrews seems committed to rebuilding the program with high school recruits. Going to require some patience from the fans base and administration.

I still believe that Shrews is the right hire for ND, he's landed 3 LaLumiere kids going into his 3rd season compared to how many Brey landed during his tenure.

100% agree patience is the key word with Shrews and I think he can succeed at ND.

Looks to be a step above Chebuhar. Uses his size in the NAIA to out muscle his defenders.

Not slow.
May be athletic enough (?)
Nice off balance shot down low

Looks like a “warm body” as mentioned above. Too difficult to get a feel with the much lower competition/lack of tape.

NAIA division II 14.5 PPG 4.5 RBG. Won't convert to much of anything at our level.

There are write ups on UND.com for the new players. Haralson (of course) and Frost sound like they might be contributors right away.

All the walk ons from last year are gone except Brady Stevens, I guess that's the new roster limit kicking in. MacLellan makes 14 on the roster so there would be room for one more (I think the roster limit for MBB is going to be 15).

Elijah Malone from Grace College transferred to Colorado last year and ended up averaging like 6-7 points in 15ish mpg. I’d take that from this guy.

Malone was the player of the year for the entire NAIA.

Matt MacLellan was Second Team All-Conference. A conference in which only one team even received any votes in the final NAIA poll.

I would have thought a 6 foot 9 guy could average more than 4.5 rpg against that competition
