Not sure there is an adjective to describe the type of increase in talent level that is. It's by far the best collection of talent Rees has had to work with. My excitement level would be through the roof but so would my expectations, lol.

Exponential.

Not a whole lot of excuses now right?

I said the same thing yesterday to a friend. Rees will have zero excuses.

Let’s pump the brakes on the Sampson shit talk. He’s often good at his job and I value his perspective frequently. One of less than a handful.
and was kind of one of the early people saying watch out for Oregon with Moore. He was right...at the time!

I personally don’t think TR is as bad as he was made out to be this season. No OC is perfect but Pyne missed on a number of plays after TR called a good play.

This is a good year to get excited.
Agree, if they do get Hartman then it’s a make or break season for Rees as far as I’m concerned. Unless there’s numerous unexpected injuries.

Every team deals with injuries. There are no excuses at this level. Depth is on the coaches too.

*unless it’s a star QB. SC’s offense would be completely neutered if Caleb Williams went down, but not if Jordan Addison and a few other guys did.

Wait. Is Plummer gonna get a third shot to shred the ND D next year?

Seriously though, KY peeps figured Brohm would make a run at Hartman with strong NIL backing, and this was before he officially hit the portal.

Brohm grabbing Plummer is a good sign, if we needed more of those.

I hate making excuses, but Del didn't exactly leave the cupboard stocked in the WR room. I like the WR we're bringing in, but I still think we need 1 more class (2024) of WR's where depth isn't an issue.

It is amusing considering brohm already benched him when he was at Purdue. It’d be like BK recruiting Pyne to LSU

If ND’s WR room isn’t better than the one Hartman is leaving at WF, then we should just cancel football.

Wake Forest’s 2022 WR room is 100% better than NDs 2022 room. 2023 ND probably has more potential, but not sure anyone will be as good as A.T. Perry is.

Wake usually has at least a guy making NFL rosters every single year, Perry probably the best of all they’ve had.

Was it them, or Hartman? I’d wait until we see what our guys do with Hartman. We honestly don’t even know what they are capable of yet.

Donavon Greene, as well. He had a two touchdowns against Clemson - one toe-tapper in the back corner of the end zone.

Probably both but the system they run needs good WRs. Wake has good guys all up and down their roster really, and has been doing so for a few years. NFL players.

Kenneth Walker was his running back. Hartman was the focal point but the entire team wasn’t dragging him down on his back.

I agree that he wasn't as bad as he was made out to be this year, but that wasn't my point.

Rees has every opportunity to show out next year as a premier OC because he has a ton to work with...finally. Talented and experienced QB (assuming it's Hartman), good OL (could be great), great RB room, solid up-and-coming WR room, talented TE room.

"Well, Pyne missed throws." "Well, the OL is trash." "Well, our WRs suck." Those were all legit reasons why the offense was hamstrung and thankfully, aside from the human error aspect where mistakes will inevitably happen (See: "we just need to execute better"), the offense as a whole won't have to deal with them as a systemic plague week in and week out. They become the exception, rather than the rule.

And if by some chance the offense still sucks, all arrows will point to Rees because, again, there will not be any more excuses left in the tank for him next year.

I saw some On3 analyst opine that Hartman to ND is real and Hartman is the QB that makes ND an instant NY6 Bowl Contender..... Not CFP though...just NY6. What does that mean? Top 10 but not Top 4 I suppose.
