Hartman in the portal

He did not get $2 million.I get all that. It's just the ND pessimism kicks in and we go from:
Peyton Bowen is getting $2,000,000.00 from Oregon!!
To:
ND doesn't play the NIL game.
The truth is in the middle...
I know that. That is my point. ND pessimism kicks in and that becomes the narrative even though it is false. He did not get $2 million.
Go read the A&M DL who left explain how it works. It was reported he was getting $1 million, but he explained that it was up to that if he played all four years, & that was before he payed taxes, paid his rep & that also included the salary for his parents’ job.
He actually got less than 100k since he left after one year when it was all said and done.
It values Hartman at just under $800K, at Wake Forest. At Notre Dame? He'd double that, at least. And then he stands to boost his draft stock playing behind a legit O Line in an NFL system. Hartman makes the right move here and he can make a lot of money between now and Draft Day in April 2024. Not to mention playing for a CFP contender, which is pretty fun.One of the pods - I don't remember which one - was talking about how Michael Mayer has made a lot of money through NIL this year but just doesn't talk about it.
Lenzy and Tyree are on the Under Armor website.
On3 does a NIL valuation. I have no idea how accurate it is, but it shows both MM and Foskey at over $800K. They have Alt at over $500K - for an O-Lineman?? Imagine what a stud QB at ND could do?
Eric Hansen, too, reported it the other day as a nearly-done deal. Hansen goes out on absolutely zero limbs. At this point it kinda feels like we'd have to royally screw this up. So of course...Pete Thamel coming right out and mentioning ND as the expected landing spot is good news.
The players on the roster who are the most important / most impactful are getting compensated pretty well IMO. Which is one of the main reasons that when Bama tried to offer one of our players a million dollars to transfer they don’t jump at it.I’m not sure I understand, is ND not paying players? The tone here is everyone is getting six plus figures except at ND. Our players are getting paid, fairly well, yes?
Oh no you didn't...Eric Hansen, too, reported it the other day as a nearly-done deal. Hansen goes out on absolutely zero limbs. At this point it kinda feels like we'd have to royally screw this up. So of course...
I hate to say it but the Michigan model right now should also be the ND model: 1. Recruit the best high schoolers you can that are fits, and 2. get super competitive in the portal. The portal could be the equalizer if ND chose to let it be.The players on the roster who are the most important / most impactful are getting compensated pretty well IMO. Which is one of the main reasons that when Bama tried to offer one of our players a million dollars to transfer they don’t jump at it.
Honestly, I think all ND really needs to do at this point is get better with NIL in the transfer portal and they’re in a pretty good spot. I think you could also talk about finding funding for a couple “top” guys in each recruiting class but that’s a VERY slippery slope to be on.

Mayer I believe.Who did Bama try and get?
I don’t think that there is a Bojangles anywhere close to South Bend. He might lose that NIL $$$According to this, he has sponsorship deals with Wahl (that fabulous beard doesn't groom itself, Phil), Bojangles and Mizzen + Main (a "performance menswear" brand, if you're not familiar).

NIL Deals of the Week: Sam Hartman signs with Mizzen+Main, Penn State players land Teslas
Athletes from across the country have benefitted from NIL, and now they're using their profits to give back.www.on3.com
Those aren't rich Wake Forest alums, those are legit companies who'd just as gladly pay a Notre Dame QB as a Wake Forest QB. Stands to reason they'd pay more, since more people would know the Notre Dame QB. Is the hope, anyway.
Find NIL money for QB recruits, OT recruits, and the top 2 WR recruits + the portal IMO.The players on the roster who are the most important / most impactful are getting compensated pretty well IMO. We will see on Michigan. They are benefitting greatly this year from the COVID rule and a very veteran team. For instance, under normal circumstances, Jake Moody would have graduated. He's made the most field goals in the country and they lose to Illinois without him. Also, despite all the OL transfers, they're going to lose 3, but probably 4 starters on the OL as well as Corum, Mazi Smith, Mike Morris, DJ Turner, etc. If they don't get it done this year, they're never going to get it done.I hate to say it but the Michigan model right now should also be the ND model: 1. Recruit the best high schoolers you can that are fits, and 2. get super competitive in the portal. The portal could be the equalizer if ND chose to let it be.
Yeah they are strictly regional (bummer, I might have to move to Carolina) but there are other fast food gigs that are national in scope and what could be more national than ND football. There's a lot of opportunities there to market "ND's Heisman Hopeful QB!".I don’t think that there is a Bojangles anywhere close to South Bend. He might lose that NIL $$$
I'm not really talking about this year's edition. They are #1 in transfer portal rankings for next year that's what I was referring to.We will see on Michigan. Shut it . . .It's called an article recap for those not wanting to take the time to read it. It should be obvious to those who have already read it. So, congrats on your reading comprehension of a 4th grader
Does he also walk old ladies across the street? He sounds like a boy scout.Hartman is a RKG. He values education more than NIL and partying. He was raised by good parents.
I love how they know we are offering him $3mil but we don't. I would love nothing more for someone to come out and be like "yep, I paid him $3mil to go to ND." I would jump for joy if it turned out we had people in the shadows throwing fat stacks around.I went snooping onto a Wake Forest board and supposedly we are offering Sam $3 Million.
Oh, and they hate ND...LOL
