Yeah, I did the same thing through the passing efficiency leader board. It's all guys who have been discussed here before.

I guess Sampson doesn't want to put Pratt's name out there for the sake of propriety. It's weird though, if Rees was actually meeting this kid when he was off the radar, they would need his current team's permission to do that. Maybe Tulane is letting this stuff happen to keep him in the fold through the bowl game?

Anyway, as I mentioned before Pratt is an exercise science major. So if he isn't graduating this spring it would represent a major concession from admissions for this one to happen.

Oh, I did not know that. Well, I feel less good about how this is going than I did a week or two ago.

Can we not pay transfers? They are different than high school recruits.

I don't love this all-in on Pratt approach. We won't be the only school looking for a QB and musical chairs can go sideways real quick.
Who else falls in the bucket of A: Playing in a bowl game. B: Not already in the portal. C: Grad transfer or academically qualified. D: Better than Drew Pyne.
There can't be many.

College football: Syracuse's Shrader says he isn't joining parade of transferring quarterbacks Seems to be kind of leaving it open and rumor has it Armstrong is looking at Syracuse and reuniting with his former OC at VA. Also Syracuse does still have its Pinstripe Bowl game coming up. Sounds like Syracuse receivers may be getting depleted as well. I know he started out a lot stronger in the beg. of the year vs. end of year. And guessing he doesn't have quite the NIL opportunities as other QBs mentioned here (i.e., less competition for him). Sounds like just the kind of middling choice many of us are thinking we end up with

I just think some on here subscribe way too much to nuggets the pay sites put out. Of course they're going to mention that ND is in on the top guys...it generates business. Yet here we are again and we can't even get a visit....

That strikes me as an odd fit. Kentucky just had a highly regarded pro prospect under center and he put up some rather pedestrian numbers in their offense. They threw for fewer than 200 yards per game and only had about 200 more total passing yards than ND.

I thought we were pursuing a transfer in general. I'm still hoping for Hudson Card but I'd be shocked if we landed him.

The OC for this year, Rich Scangarello, was fired. They are bringing back Liam Coen from the Rams, who was with Kentucky in 2021.

Card does not sound likely. Hartman and Pratt seem to be the targets but neither is in the portal yet and Hartman is getting tied to Louisville with Brohm going there.

It's still early. Let's wait until we miss out on all quality QB's before we go to the worst case scenario. I still believe the staff will get a quality grad transfer.
