You're missing my point entirely -- SHOCKER -- that I can both not want him to be our QB1 and think he's a bitch for how he handled the situation.

If you think him entering the portal now vs. December 31 is the difference between him getting a spot or not then you're just as delusional as he and his family are. He's not NOT GUY.

Just out of curiosity, exactly how short was your school bus?
If we land Hudson Card, is he a "bitch" for leaving Texas before his bowl game? How about Devin Leary? Cade McNamara going to Iowa a bitch move?

If we land one of the first two, are you going to call those young men bitches?

Does it make you feel good calling twenty year olds a bitch for making a professional decision they feel is best for themselves, internet tough guy?

Posted in the Transfer Time thread, but this is absolutely incredible.

Gotta think some SEC team is going to give him millions.

He’s putting his name in the portal like Jahmyr Gibbs put his name in the portal.

Longo leaving UNC - gotta help with the small chance Maye looks at us right?
I think Bama/UGA will swoop in on that one hard and fast. since both replace thier QB next seaon. Hell, OSU would probably get in on that chase too, I don't see ND's collective competing w/ any of those three 1v1, nevermind all three at once.

OMG, it's happening. Swarbrick needs to fly directly to Maye's house and ask him what he needs to come and build a legacy

Far be it from me to discourage this temper tantrum, but none of the people you mentioned are QB1

Card - QB2
Leary - injured
McNamara - QB2

As we back channel with Pratt
Touché, but those seem like very different scenarios, IMO. UNC is a legitimate P5 program with top 25 recruiting, top 25 ranking, ACC schedule, and a solid collective that I’m sure is compensating him well for going back. Pratt has 1 top 25 season and none of the rest, lol.

Irish Illustrated pod stated that ND’s top choice isn’t in the portal yet. My guess is Pratt since he’s likely gonna play the bowl game. Armstrong from UVA is in the portal but Sampson seemed confident that he will end up at Syracuse ASAP to reunite w/ his former OC which makes sense.

So two backups and an injured player are equal to a healthy QB1 leaving his team mid season how? Do you see me calling any other ND transfers a bitch? Nope, just the one who got butthurt when he found out the job wasn't being handed to him for next season. And please point me to where I claimed to be a tough guy.

How intellectually dishonest can you be? Stay tuned - WE'LL FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON SOME IDIOT SPOKE!

Bottom line is we don't know for sure if Pyne left because he was "butthurt" or if he simply saw the "writing on the wall" and is making a decision for what he thinks gives him the best chance to start in the future. He knew he was unlikely to start again for Notre Dame.

Sure. We don't know. The suddenness of it is what kinda made him seem butthurt. But it is a fairly logical move.
But also his best chance to start in the future involves going down the food chain to the sort of programs that would still gladly take him after our bowl game. UConn and Akron aren't engaging in transfer portal NIL bidding wars.

I thought NIL made the players Semi professional, and that meant we were allowed to make ourselves feel better by calling them names.

Also a bitch move is still a bitch move. And the original bitch move is holding children back 1.5 grade years so that they can be Junior High All-Stars.

Last time I checked, Pyne was QB2 until Buchner got hurt? And Buchner is cleared for the bowl game? And we are taking a transfer?

But as Piombino also said, he's not worthy of starting on any P5 team, and is an "intramural level QB". But let's call him QB1 for the sake of the argument, sure. Because he has to defend calling a young man who played for ND a bitch at any cost.

C’mon man. He was still QB1 for the bowl. Buchner being available for a series doesn’t change that and neither does a Transfer that practices in the spring.

It is a bitch move. It can be logical and be the right thing to do, but P isn’t wrong about the move.

To be fair, he really doesn’t have P5 QB talent but he probably could have helped take his team to an interhall championship game. I’d watch out for the Morrissey QB this year though. Dual Threat.

If Buchner is available, he'll start. Even if he doesn't many were clamoring for Angeli anyways. Even if Pyne did start, it would be his last one. Why not just enter now and figure out his options?

After all the flak he took this season, and despite his limitations, he fought incredibly hard for this team. Saved our season from disaster, so obviously I took issue with the accusation that he placed on Pyne. I can't fault a guy for seeing the writing on the wall and seeing what else is out there after the portal started in a flurry the way it did.

But I'll drop it, enough said. Agree to disagree.
