I can’t really argue with anything you said.we had outstanding pass pro statistics in almost all years Harry was here. Where things usually didnt look great for him were things like short to go's stuff rates, etc.
We could open nice big holes for chunks on passing and combo downs but when it was hey we need to get a yard and everyone knows it. Woof.
Harry's other supposed issues were A) only developing 5/6 guys and not the entire roster and B) not liking to recruit.
Some will say he typically got his guy and maybe thats true but as someone pointed out above we did miss on a few of his "guys". He rebounded nicely this year thats for sure. But will that hustle maintain through his 2nd tenure.
Go look at the 2018 class. It wasnt pretty. Missed on his initial wave, settled for some questionable people, and missed some big evals. He was also on his way out so....
I think whoever said 2022 might be the height of this stint, could be on to something.
Never seen anything like the parent recruiting of this class

I honestly had no idea Zinter's older brother plays for Michigan. The first comment is money
He’s definitely talking about the Zack Wilson comment.I honestly had no idea Zinter's older brother plays for Michigan.

ND knows how to recruit. You can't say they aren't doing everything possible.Tell me we’re directly targeting Keon’s mama without telling me we’re targeting Keon’s mama.
Next we need one of these with the uncle(s) of every croot…

I think one of Sampson’s articles about Freeman stated he makes 10 recruiting calls a day and they’re not necessarily just to recruits. He talks to their parents, grandparents, high school coach, etc so the whole family gets to know him. Honestly a great idea to make sure the core around the kid are all in on ND as well. Harder to decommit from a school when mom, dad, grandma and little brother all love ND and MFMF.This is awesome, I thought BK did a god job of ND feeling like family to the recruits, but Freeman is making the whole family be apart of the ND family.
Terrible, actually.
Sounds like this class will fill up with guys we don’t even know about yet.
Lol. Our 23 man class, that currently sits #1 will be back-filled with guys not currently on the board. That's what you mean by terrible?Terrible, actually.

No, that’s not what I meant. It was a terrible update for guys we’re still recruiting. All of them are likely headed elsewhere.Lol. Our 23 man class, that currently sits #1 will be back-filled with guys not currently on the board. That's what you mean by terrible?
I don't actually think it's that surprising. He did a great job getting Carr, but this isn't the first time he's messed up QB recruiting. It’s pretty mind blowing that Rees is 0 for 7 with QBs in the 2023 class. You’re the OC/QB coach at Notre Dame. Why is it so difficult?

I don't have 247. Was there any word on Minchey? He'd be fine at QB.No, that’s not what I meant. It was a terrible update for guys we’re still recruiting. All of them are likely headed elsewhere.

He didn’t mess up. Moore straight screwed him & ND over.I don't actually think it's that surprising. He did a great job getting Carr, but this isn't the first time he's messed up QB recruiting.
