Probably the Illinois kid
I can’t comment on him since I haven’t watched his film yet. However, the fact that Rees is the only member of the staff who hasn’t pulled his weight in this class and appears to be scrambling is incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t surprising. He can’t be gone soon enough.

He nearly had two committed five star QBs at the same time. And he had to say no thanks to Chris Vizzina, another borderline five star, because the first five star commit silently committed to Rees before chasing the NIL bag.

Pretty positive its Swanson

If it means Carr staying in the 2024 class then I suppose I'm okay with Tommy hitching his wagon to Cal as "his guy" in the 2023 class and seeing how the chips fall. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned that OSU, at the very least, didn't really have any interest in him. I like his film more than Kienholz and Munoz. Dude needs to hit the weight room, though.

I get ND is a far superior program to Illinois, but Swanson's very vocally committed to them it would seem from his Twitter.

My guess is either Lincoln Kienholz or Marco Lainez. I really hope I'm wrong. Not really blown away by either of their films.

Don’t think it’s Kienholz. Heard he’s told ND he’s not budging from Washington.

The difficulty with 2023 recruiting right now is that ND doesn’t even know if they have a spot to offer (I’m guessing). I bet things would be moving better if Carr’s reclassification attempt was a no go.

Weird he was at UCLA Saturday scheduled and then cancelled all within 72 hours.

Fantastic football game that had a pathetic Rose Bowl crowd as usual.

Yep. I’m glad we have Carr but the uncertainty around which class he’s in is becoming a problem.

It hurts the 2024 class, too. The staff could be scheduling visits for some of the better 2024 QB's. If Rees is still here next year, let's just hope that if/when CJ reclassifies that Rees' recruiting of 2024 QB's doesn't end up how the 2023 QB recruiting has so far.

Their RB commit flipped to Georgia today, I wonder if he felt he’d be heavily scrutinized to visit ND a week later, like a with us or against us type thing. Maybe one they let simmer for a minute and try back for later in the season.

Sounds like you're on the right track. This isn't over as of now.

Trying to read some tea leaves here so take with a grain of salt, but ISD "redacted" part of their Intel today and said they hoped to share the info in the coming weeks and that it isn't to get too excited about, but that it is potentially exciting news. My guess is that we have a quarterback set to visit that is likely committed elsewhere as they have spoken about how they want to keep some of those things hush hush to eliminate some of the pressure on the committed players.

I’m posting but redacting. Man Singer, Loy or Driskell would get killed for that haha

The way he said classify and declassify twice has me thinking CJ reclassification info.

"The coming weeks?" If it's a QB visit, we're running out of weeks that have games that are worth visiting.

Singer on the on3 board, has composed a preliminary list of EEs for this cycle.

Offense: Jayden Limar, Dylan Edwards, Rico Flores, Braylon James, Jordan Greathouse & Sam Pendleton

Defense: Devan Houstan, Preston Zinter, Jaiden Ausberry, Drayk Bowen, Christian Gray, Ben Minich, Peyton Bowen & Adon Shuler.

Kenny Minchey will be an EE, but I'm not sure on a few other prospective recruits - Kaleb Smith, Khalil Barnes, Brandyn Hillman & Christopher Terek.

Pending Minchey's decision, we are looking at 15 EEs for this cycle!

Most importantly is Shuler and Bowen. Getting both on campus early is huge. We'll likely need one, maybe both, to be ready for the 2 deep come Fall Camp.

Second most important would be offensive skill players. I love that we're getting 5 of those players on campus early. Should give at least 1 or 2 of them a shot to make a move on the depth chart.

It’s also the second year in a row that all of our linebacker commits are coming in early. An extra semester, extra time with Balis and with the coaches and playbook, will help set up our LB two deep after 2023.

Technically Liufau has three years of eligibility left after 2022, Bertrand and Kiser both have two - but who knows how things will play out in the next year.

Get those receivers and P. Bowen on campus ASAP.
