Jamie, Matt, and Christian are all very good contributors for ISD. Matt's personality can be a bit mundane. We all know Mike and his negativity. But overall, ISD is my go-to.

I'm outgrowing II, tbh. I still listen because I enjoy the ND content and it's better than listening to Driskell, but I find myself being board with their commentary. Prister seems very "establishment" He never rocks the boat. Sampson's dryness is his MO, and his sources are usually tied in well. But as we've seen in the MF era, most of the beat are clueless these days. So what's the point if you don't have good intel most of the time...I don't really care to listen about how every non-OSU/USC/Clemson game is a trap game that ND can lose.

The sky is falling because we’re not running Randy Moss, Chris Carter, and TO out there at WR. The secondary is really freaking good.

Hart might have a concussion from the scrimmage. Should be fine for Navy.

But Driskell kept telling me that they were all "dudes", "game changers", and "gap closers"...

When you realize that Driskell's whole schtick is overhyping players then blaming the coaches when they inevitably don't live up to it he makes a lot more sense. I remember when he called for Ian Book to be benched for Phil because he went 2/3 in garbage time at Michigan lol.

I really have to disagree here.

Jamie literally gives grades. Most of them are in line with the national consensus. I think he has a problem with overreacting regarding a player's early development, for good or bad. He doesn't pile on kids, but that is just being an adult.

And Matt's lack of enthusiasm is not the same as keeping it real. In fact, it's pretty clear that Matt has some level of connection with the players through his recruiting coverage and does not like to get too direct in his criticism. He'll restate the obvious things the kid "has to work on," but not much else.
Does anyone know what happened to the thread where we can discuss the good and bad reporting by Jamie, Loy, Driskell, etc.?

Per ISD, Gobaira was in a full leg brace at this mornings practice. Seems to confirm speculation that his leg injury from Tuesday night is quite serious.

Damn, I feel for him. He has a bright future and he could definitely use the game time. I do have a story of encouragement for him. During the 2018 season, I lived in the same dorm as the injured backup rover Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (who was a really nice guy ftr). During one of the away games (I think it was Navy) I go to the lobby to grab another mixer from the vending machines to see Wu with his broken foot up on the table watching the game on a dorm tv set about as close to his face as it could get. The intensity I saw in his face that afternoon was exactly what we saw when he won the Butkus. Keep your head up Aiden!

It was refreshing watching Singer and Hyde argue tonight about Angeli vs Minchey. The IB shows that go 5 hours without a single disagreement get stale.

Was interesting they said that all of the offensive plays were telegraphed (the defense knew what they were running). So the WR disappointment reports weren’t initially fully transparent.
Idk the arguing makes me cringe a bit. I'm not trying to listen to that for an hour

FWIW, I read through all of ISD and II's coverage of the Tuesday night scrimmage and I did not see a single negative comment about Blake Fisher. That includes articles from Jamie U, Andrew Mentock, Matt Freeman, Tim O'Malley, Tim Prister, and John Brice.

I guess I just like a little disagreement from time to time. I agree I don’t like it when it’s superficial, excessive, or forced. Driskell’s show is good for content but the nodding and agreeing is almost uncomfortable to me. I think Driskell has such a big ego that he makes any disagreement feel like an offense with his demeanor and the others just fall in line. His chat is filled with his folks bc he’s likely banned anyone that doesn’t fall in like to his thoughts. Singers show (yesterday) felt a little more organic or just guys talking, which I liked. Goolsby and Hyde don’t give a damn what Mike thinks, which I like. On the other hand, Vince gives the vibe like he’s worried about losing a job or something. Overall IB has better content bc they outwork Singer, but Singers stuff has potential if he just worked a little more. These are just my opinions obviously.

Maybe they’re pumping sunshine but even if so this is some good shit about the freshmen and sophomores. And I’m here for all the Traore hype.

Vince I agree with that for sure, I don't like making a point then your boss disagrees and you immediately back track. Yea I like that Goolsby and Hyde don't care what singer thinks and they shouldn't

Well, that report was interesting. Stated that Coogan and Spindler were in for sure (all fine by me), and a (to me) quite odd comment about Jagusah. A coach (apparently) saying that Jagusah was still pressing. The use of this term was in the context of which OLinemen were still in the mix fighting into the two-deep (or better.) Now how can that be? The big frosh is superbly impressive admittedly, but I believe that he isn't even fully healthy. And one would think that surely he's a tackle, so, if so, who's he mixing it up with? Surely not the "1s".

IF Jagusah is already pressing for playing time that would be a revelation of a someday-All American coming soon to our stage. Hard to believe this quickly.

I would assume Tosh Baker. He's never been better than a quality backup.

Jagusah is not pressing for playing time.
He has struggled all camp & a coach Tuesday mentioned he was still “confused” at times & had a long way to go.
He’s been repping with the 2’s & 3’s.
The pressing is him trying hard but not sure what to do.
