KK with the steal. Jeff Walz going nuts. Technical. Ejected. Irish gonna win. Thanks Walz!
Bingo. That was what I was insinuating with the establish position. She was moving back, arms vertical, guarding the offensive player who then created the contact against her. If that would have been a foul, then I guess the only thing she could have done was get out of the way and create a clear path to the basket. Which doesn't make sense.Close call for sure, but I thought you don't have to stop if you establish position as long as you move back. Left or right and ND gets called for the foul.
Like I said. I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was called a foul. But reality is they’re still down by 3 IF they make both free throws with 18 seconds remaining. No guarantee it helps them win.Louisville bench seemed to be reacting more to the latter portion of the play after initial contact. Bransford's arm comes down across the Louisville player's wrist (around the :55 mark) and pulls down. I've watched the replay slowly numerous times. It seems like Bransford may have not even had any significant contact with the ball. Was that contact enough to keep the Louisville player from keeping/getting possession? Who knows. All I know is that if the roles were reversed, most ND fans would be angry.
They called almost 30 fouls on us. Its a wonder Watson was the only girl to foul out. It's rich that this clip and play is what people will discuss, but not the 10 mins of horrific officiating that benefitted UL to that point.
Agreed. I also expect to see a lot of our high/low action between Westbeld and Watson as well.if i'm the irish coaching staff i'm taking the cardinal's playbook from the second half yesterday and using it against VT and just driving hard to the rim most of the game since they won't have Kitley and her shot blocking ability
Damn. Watson was starting to play her best of the season.
this is happening through all of wbb this season and so it isn't the shoes or strength or conditioning. At this point, you can’t consider this bad luck anymore. It’s either the shoes or the strength and conditioning program.
I don’t want to be disrespectful, but maybe Kylee Watson shouldn’t be trying to Euro step through the lane at her size. That’s a lot of force to put on her knee.At this point, you can’t consider this bad luck anymore. It’s either the shoes or the strength and conditioning program.
