What an impressive run they are on. This team is entertaining to watch. Most likely a 3 seed heading into the tournament.

Irish women seeded 2nd, host first weekend in South Bend. Kent St in first game then winner of Mississippi /Marquette. Oregon St 3 seed in their region and South Carolina 1 seed. If it comes to the regional #2 vs #3 we got a break in that the games are in Albany and the other regional is in Portland, Oregon so Oregon St wouldn't get to pay us in Portland.

Agreed. Must be that we were the worst #2.

Tennessee gave South Carolina a run so anything can happen, but gotta get there first!

True but we ran thru the ACC so it can be done at least to the regional finals anyway. Considering the injuries that would be a highly acceptable result.

I think they got the #2 seed for a combo of how well they played to close out the regular season, then went on to win the tournament.

On a plus side, the ACC tournament required them to play three games in three days. In the NCAA it will only require two games in three days.

Didn't really like what I saw today but think we tend to play down to the level of the opponent sometimes. That was a pretty run of the mill team we went against and their post player and point guard were way too effective for me to feel good. We can play better and probably will.

Agreed...and they will need to. They will most likely play Ole Miss and they are quite lengthy.

Hidalgo & Citron are so fun to watch. Hannah had some Sportscenter worthy plays w/ the move she put on taller defender on her layup & that sweet pass in traffic for the assist.



I watched a lot of the following game. Much more sloppy on both ends. Ole Miss just out-athleted them. Weird matchup for ND. This game could really test their depth.

I hope Westbeld comes back for a 5th next season. They’d have an absolutely loaded starting 5. I’d say it would be better than the 2018 team.

Yeah great preparation. Didn't bother to even try the man to man vs this team went zone from the opening tip and Miss never did figure it out. I thought Miss should have fired up threes on every possession but the kept pounding it in.... and turning it over.

I’m in Oxford today. Ran into a Domer who was going back & forth w/ hotel manager about Ole Miss not showing up…LOL. He agrees that ND’s lack of depth likely prevents them from getting much farther in the tourney but you never know!

What an absolute bullshit thing to call on Hidalgo midway through a sweet sixteen game. Jewelry items are something that are addressed before the start of a game not midway through tournament play.

When her and Bransford are both on the floor, it's basically 5v3 on offense. And it is pretty hilarious that she thinks standing there with her arms straight up is considered defense.

It is weird that the women's basketball team never communicates their injuries. They have players that have been in street clothes for months and no one knows why.
