With Tennessee losing we're pretty much down to just 6 teams who could make the playoff, right? I just don't think the committee will put in Clemson if they win out, but I could be wrong.

Ohio State
Michigan
TCU
USC

I think there has been enough chaos that they will, especially if OSU beats Michigan and UGA beats LSU. You’ll have UGA, OSU, TCU, and Clemson. I can’t see them letting in a 2 loss team or a non-champion Michigan.

Of course, I’m operating under the assumption ND beats USC which is an awfully big assumption.

Gamecocks with the straight beat down. Gotta wonder if the early season success was just a one off for Tennessee at this point.
How does Tennessee beat Bama, even in a down year, then get curbstomped by SC? They gave up 63 points to SC??? I thought UT came too far too fast, and yeah, it's looking like the first half of the season was more of a one off than genuine.

If we beat USC, Ohio State beats Michigan by multiple scores, and Georgia beats LSU, Clemson probably gets in. They have looked better since our game.
Who else would be fourth?

They would probably give it to Tennessee, LSU, or Utah if they win tonight

If Clemson does make the playoffs that opens another NY6 avenue for us right?

Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but I just keep thinking about Lincoln Riley teams at Oklahoma and USC over the last 8 years or so, and neither of those things scare me.

That terrible second quarter by DTR looking like it’s going to be the difference.

Just can't stop the USC offense.
Well, UCLA hasn't had an exactly stellar defense. They've been middle of the road in points given up in the PAC-12, and that's with only facing Oregon and to a lesser extent Utah when it comes to teams with an offensive pulse.

Fun fact, we currently have more points scored for the year than any team in the PAC-12. USC's defense also hasn't been stellar.

The key is getting Williams on the ground when you get that chance. The USC pass pro is pretty leaky. Williams is crazy good at scrambling and firing off platform though.

They lost to Arizona a week ago and their QB threw for nearly 80% and over 11 yards per attempt.

That same QB threw 4 picks today against Wazzu.

UCLA's defense is worse than the stats would indicate.

All those teams are going to have two losses. At least two of them - in the scenario I described - wouldn't have a conference title either. A one-loss ACC champ Clemson vs. a two-loss Pac-12 champ Utah is an interesting conversation. But it's hardly a slam-dunk for Utah.
