I get what you are saying, but I played years and years at QB and have coached for the past 20 and most of the time you actually have throwing lanes more than just being taller than those monsters of front and throwing straight over them. I get it, a higher release point is nice, but it isn't as crucial as it may seem. If he gets 20 passes batted down next year, I stand corrected. Personally I would be rolling the pocket with him anyway. Letting him be athletic.Seriously? Agree he can play really good but I worry about short passes over line like screens when you are throwing it from such a low angle
Agree. Those short passes need to be on point, always. No doubt, but I hate when you try and make comparisons and there’s hardly any.
I expect Buchner to ball out, but I also think and worry we may have some wimbush moments like some of buchners throws last year.
We need to be able to execute screens and short passes to tyree at a high rate.
You're literally the worstBuchner throwing motion still sucks... doesn't mean he can't be successful thrower (see philip rivers) but very low side fling. Just weird to change to that.
Pyne playing well is for sure positive. Would be nice if it was paired with 'and Tyler Buchner looks phenomenal'.I don’t see how Pyne doing well in practice is a bad thing. He’s going to play this year.
Judging from how short Prister’s and O’Malley’s practice reports were, they didn’t see much of the practice.
It’s not a bad thing. People expect perfection out of the gate. Competition is healthy and should be encouraged.I don’t see how Pyne doing well in practice is a bad thing. He’s going to play this year.

Matt Corral tooPhillip Rivers arm angle says hi....it can be done and at a high level
Maybe not the best exampleMatt Corral too
More of an example of an irregular throwing motion who has had success at a high levelMaybe not the best example
Marist is a starter he was on limited reps because they didn't want to rush him back in. Would imagine he splits reps early on in the season.Bauer betrand and Kiser as 3 starting lbs are not going to get it done vs elite teams…. Disappointing if that’s the game 1 starting group… hopefully Marist and prince get major PT
There aren’t really saying he was good, they are saying he was better than TB. That’s what is bad.I don’t see how Pyne doing well in practice is a bad thing. He’s going to play this year.

Liafau, sure, when he’s back to 100%… he showed signs of being a game wrecker pre-injury.Bauer betrand and Kiser as 3 starting lbs are not going to get it done vs elite teams…. Disappointing if that’s the game 1 starting group… hopefully Marist and prince get major PT
Ya coaches won’t play the best players.🙄Bauer betrand and Kiser as 3 starting lbs are not going to get it done vs elite teams…. Disappointing if that’s the game 1 starting group… hopefully Marist and prince get major PT
Remember, day 1 of fall camp in a single drill. There aren’t really saying he was good, they are saying he was better than TB. That’s what is bad.
Bauer, Bertrand, and Kiser are all very high IQ linebackers and have produced a ton during their time at Notre Dame.Bauer betrand and Kiser as 3 starting lbs are not going to get it done vs elite teams…. Disappointing if that’s the game 1 starting group… hopefully Marist and prince get major PT
