I don't hate the Chiefs either, but I absolutely loathe Brittany Mahomes (wife) and his brother Jackson and their antics.

I agree with you that Pat seems like a stand up dude, and he's an absolute joy to watch on the field.

I think part of it too for a lot of people is they just like to see dynasties fall. I hated seeing New England in every other SB. In general, fans like parity, and when you have teams like KC making 3/4 SBs, especially with the recent NE dominance still fresh on people's minds, it leads to contempt.

Cincy was also being cocky AF heading into that game; that message from the mayor was dumb as hell.
A little too early to give the Chiefs the dynasty label.

I think it’s his wife and brother that make it so much worse. They’ve been quiet lately, but were unbearable in years past.

From a roster standpoint, I don’t think they’re that good. When Juju or MVS is your best receiver, you have issues. Outside of Jones, the DL is very average. I wouldn’t be surprised if Philly wins by 10+.

But, Mahomes is the NFL’s poster child so who knows what happens.
Yeah, they're hitting their stride. I don't think KC will be able to handle the Eagles pass rush and Hurts seems to be turning into a pretty good QB.

Might be, that's fair. But making 3/4 striaght bowls is an impressive feat.

If they win a second in four years? When would you consider them a dynasty?

It was the same script as last year’s Bengals/Chiefs games… Chiefs start hot and control the game until just before halftime. The Bengals get a score/stop, then come out in the third quarter and do the same, and suddenly it’s a ballgame.

Bengals offense just couldn’t finish this time around. Can’t ask for much more from your defense than to hold Mahomes to 20 points going into the last two minutes, with the ball and a chance to go win.

(I would love for Joe Burrow to go into the playoffs with a good/healthy OL just one time, though. As much as I’d love them to add one more weapon at TE, OG/OT is probably a bigger need in round one this year, depending on how they go with re-signings prior to the draft.)
I see your point, but even when they tied it up, it felt to me like KC still had control and Cincy would need a turnover deep in KC territory to pull it out.

I know Mahomes' dad played baseball. I've seen people mention his wife before and I truly have no idea what it is she's up to that bothers people. I can only assume some of the obvious, but I don't care enough to bother looking into it.

The people after the game saying we should "Show respect" to Mahomes is more of the us against the world, everyone doubted us garbage that seems to be the only motivational mindset today's athlete is able to muster. The Chiefs were favored. At home. And finally beat a team that had gotten the best of them more often than not. Leave it at that, get your trophy and stop.

In walks the drunk Browns fan giddy with Bengals fury and belly full of whisky and tacos,…

Love that call at the end,…it was brilliant since it made people needlessly suffer. Joe Burrow, what can I say about your wardrobe that hasn’t already been said about Afghanistan. Patrick Mahomes, you look like a bootleg Ice Tea!! Now excuse me, I need to go put water in Zac Taylor’s momma’s dish.
I appreciate your Silky Johnson Player Haters Ball reference there...lol Hate, hate, hate....

As long as Eli Apple lost. Guy is absolutely unbearable and is the epitome of riding coattails his entire career dating back to his college days.

I definitely agree that a lot of this is shallow, faux motivation, but they were only "favored" by 1.5 at home; which is basically a toss up. And it's worth mentioning that the home team usually gets -3.0 points for home field advantage, which suggests that Vegas would've actually favored Cincy on a neutral field.

But your point is well taken, the Chiefs acting like they're some kind of Cinderella story is a tad much. I didn't mind any of their retorts directed at Cincy's mayor though, that dude deserved the backlash after the video he posted.

There is trash talk and there is the made up hyperbole about being an underdog, shocking the world, no one respecting you. People love an underdog but pandering to that when you really aren't one just makes you annoying. Winning isn't enough anymore. You have to go trolling regardless of the situation. The winning does the talking more than anything said before or after the job is done. Maybe I'm just old school in that respect.

Cincinnati's mayor deserved the trash talk in retort. So did Eli Apple.

Eric Bienemy has once again successed himself out of a head coaching job by reaching another Super Bowl.

It's going to be funny when even he says no to the Broncos.

DeMeco Ryans finalizing a 6 year deal with Houston, as well

A first AND second rounder for a HC, Super Bowl Champion or not, seems completely asinine to me. Plus you're gonna have to pony up one helluva salary on top of that draft capital for the Saints.

I hope Ryans turns things around with the Texans.

Denver hires another HC from Eastern Illinois.

So whoever hired Sean Payton was going to have to compensate the Saints with draft picks?

I think knowing that, Payton and his staff should get a little extra grace considering employment was predicated on the front office relinquishing assets.

It's gonna be perceived as the opposite though, right?

"We gave up valuable draft picks to bring you in... your scheme and leadership better equate to a first-round rookie contract over the next four years."

I perceive that none of the OC or DC that were coaching this past weekend wanted the Denver job.
