Really sucks that the Irish aren't playing, but at least the big boys of the SEC are back. No really great games, but debuts from Kitten and the Pirate will make some meh games more interesting.

EARLY GAMES
Kansas State at #3 Oklahoma (-27.5) 12:00 PM FOX
-Yawn

#5 Florida (-13.5) at Ole Miss 12:00 PM ESPN
-While maybe not the best game, Lame Kitten debut

#23 Kentucky at #8 Auburn (-7.5) 12:00 PM SECN
-KY is becoming a fun to watch team

#13 UCF (-27) at East Carolina 12:00 PM ABC
-Yawn, but UCF should be fun. Why the ABC game?

Georgia Southern at #19 Louisiana (-11.5) 12:00 PM ESPN2
-For the small school fans

#24 Louisville at #21 Pittsburgh (-3) 12:00 PM ACCN
-Good opportunity for a sneak peak of our next opponent

Georgia Tech (-8) at Syracuse 12:00 PM ESPN3
-Yawn

MID AFTERNOON GAMES
Mississippi State at #6 LSU (-16.5) 3:30 PM CBS
- Another meh, but The Pirate's debut. Just swing your sword KJ Constello...

#8 Texas (-17.5) at Texas Tech 3:30 PM FOX
-Early in-state rivalry. I'll take the points

#22 Army at #14 Cincinnati (-13.5) 3:30 PM ESPN
-For the Lion and the Cinci fans. Should be a fun game.

West Virginia at #15 Oklahoma State (-7) 3:30 PM ABC
-The Os should be fun at least.

UTEP at UL Monroe (-9.5) 3:30 PM ESPN2
-For those that appreciate HS football. Acamp

#4 Georgia (-27.5) at Arkansas 4:00 PM SECN
-Yawn, or at least should be. JT Daniels debut

Duke at Virginia (-5) 4:00 PM ACCN
-Double yawn.

EVENING GAMES
Texas State at Boston College (-17.5) 6:00 PM ESPN3
-For those still with a 5* Phil crush. He should have #s.

#2 Alabama (-27.5) at Missouri 7:00 PM ESPN
-This could be more interesting than the line

Vanderbilt at #10 Texas A&M (-31) 7:30 PM SECN Alt
-Yawn. Can the smart kids cover?

Florida State at #12 Miami (-11) 7:30 PM ABC
-A great game to wish both teams would lose.

#16 Tennessee (-3.5) at South Carolina 7:30 PM SECN
-Probably the game of the night.

NC State at #20 Virginia Tech (-7) 8:00 PM ACCN
-VT first game rust?

Troy at #18 BYU (-14) 10:15 PM ESPN
-Only listed because it's the only late game....

FYI, UCF @ Eastern Carolina is the noon ABC game because our game and I think another were canceled, which got the Knights bumped up

I would have thought they would have bumped the Auburn/KY game to ABC over UCF.

Probably contractual reasons for why they can't do that. Maybe has something to do with the fact that they're SEC?

Also, way more pumped than I should be to watch Kentucky and Auburn.

Kentucky could legit challenge in the SEC East if Terry Wilson can learn how to throw just like 5 accurate passes per game.

Can't remember all the specifics, but ABC/ESPN won the SEC starting in 2024 (from CBS). CBS I think has first pick now, but still think ABC/ESPN get to pick from the SEC somehow as well. I have all the channels, so no biggie, just would normally expect the only SEC game pitting two top 25 teams against each other would be on ABC, CBS, or ESPN.

KY lost a lot didn' they?
My guess is FL, UGA, TN, KY or SC, Missouri, Vandy is how the East ends up.

I'm pumped for Ed O vs the Pirate.

I'm starting to embrace the Pirate upsets LSU stuff. So much chatter in a lot of places talking about how Leach has beat Pelini in the past, and LSU doesn't have the O this year to cover their D deficiencies.

I like both coaches so not cheering for either, but it would be interesting to see Leach keep it a game.

Also, while I dislike the Gators, I'd love to see them smack Kiffen around today. I wish nothing but loss and embarrassment for the guy.

Ole Miss and Florida is really fun. Traded scores, then OM gets and INT. Then Kiffen goes razzle dazzle with a long WR pass that got them in the RZ. Then a batted down pass and INT. Then a FL TD after a huge/long run.

Hate Kiffen, but he's good for the SEC.

KY and Auburn close too.

Some good football going on today, you can tell the SEC has been practicing for much longer than the rest of the country.

Every top 25 game is within 3pts except the OK/KSU game.

NICE! It would be great if a top 10 team (FL or Auburn) got upset.

UK had 1st and goal at the Auburn 1 at the end of the first half and threw a pick 6... 100 yd return. Instead of going into halftime up 14-8 or at least 10-8, they're down 7-14. It's this sort of stuff that makes them UK.

edit: What the heck? I turned it off after the pick 6, but apparently it got nullified. What happened?

Not sure what happened, but the ESPN play by play shows a personal foul on the INT.
Ouch.

Yeah, they called targeting on the return. It was the block that set him free. Horrible call imo.

Yeah, I just saw the video. I don't think it was a horrible call. He definitely led with the top of his helmet and hit the UK player in the side of the face/head. The announcers thought it was the right call.

Trask is having a day!

I have to admit, I did not think he was this good. Not that OM D is great, but he's making some throws.

And I love the pain on Kiffen's face. His tears make me happy.

Looks like shoulder into the chest to me. Their argument was that the guy was defenseless. Which I vehemently disagree with.

I don't have anything against Lane. He was obnoxious and childish at times while at Bama, but he did a great job with our O and was entertaining. OTOH, I wish nothing but misery on Ole Miss from now through the end of time. They were buying players with cash, cars, and coochie like they thought they were auditioning for the part of SMU in a movie.

I think the first contact was shoulder to shoulder, but definitely looks like a head pop too.

A touchdown chain??? Lol sure

There's a chain or something, for everyone now. It's legit stupid. Just let Miami have their fun and come up with your own idea.

No doubt he's a good O mind. He's is douchebag though of the highest degree. Can't wait for the egg bowl.

Whoa. KSU just tied it up with OK. This was the one game I thought would be a blowout.

Pitts defensive is going to be a huge problem for Book and the offense. Ugh
