KAR's from St Louis metro too.

Hopefully they offer 2020 safety Antonio Johnson.

In 2021, expect OT Brody Wisecarver and WDE Travion Ford to get early offers.

Are we recruiting more in St. Louis? As mentioned, Trinity Catholic is loaded and there's DeSmet. Reggie Love and Jordan Johnson may well be commits with heavy leans to ND.

In the greater KC area, there's Daniel Jackson at Miege.

At this point, I think Love is going to be left out of the class. If he wanted to be at ND, he really messed up by taking the Wiscy visit over ND. Now murphy and Edwards have offers and that spot could be gone soon.

So......get prepared for this, 247 just went HAM on downgrading ND's 2020 commitments.

Yep, down 29 spots. It’s pretty hilarious. AK down 57. Pyne down 173. Bauman down 153. Ehrensberger down 155.

The flipside is a lot of out top targets got huge jumps. Jalen McMillan up 73, Braiden McGregor up 253, Tosh Baker up 503, Jordan Johnson up 41, Andrew Gentry up 147, Enzo Jennings up 47, Lathan Ransom up 252.

On the other hand, AJ Henning fell 99 spots and Jimmy Christ 78.

It's more just comical at this point. For example, Alexander Ehrensberger was ranked on 11/29/2018 (for the first time) as the 1036 prospect. That rating came right after he visited OSU/UM/PSU/ND. He's now at 1509. So he's literally ranked lower than he was before Barton Simmons and company even knew who he was. And, have they really evaluated all 1508 prospects in front him? Lastly, Barton Simmons is apparently taking a trip to visit PPI soon and "evaluate" the prospects. Why would you do that for guys that aren't even in the top 1000 kids in HS football. Can't even make this shit up it's so dumb.

All of that stuff is crap, but one of them I find interesting is AK. Looking at the 247 DT rankings. They have 37 guys ranked ahead of him which is absurd. He's not a top 5 DT in the country and I'm okay with that, but some of the guys ahead of him are laughable at best. Jordan Butler out of IMG is simply not as good of a prospect as Aidan. There's just no way. If you watch the film, look at the offers (23 for AK vs. 10 for Butler), the fact that FSU/UM/UF don't covet him enough to even warrant an offer in their backyard, and the fact that Butler is playing at one of the most covered high schools for football in the entire country vs. a 900 person private school in Colorado that probably gets little to no recruiting play for Aidan. I just don't see it, but whatever. Notre Dame did very well in getting the better prospect. Also, this is not just to crap on Butler, he's a good prospect, and there are others ahead of Keanaaina that he's better than, but 247 does what it does. ND got a good one!

I think 247 has a hard on for ND commits. It is crazy. Also I agree about AK. It is insane. nobody watches film.

Also:

Interesting info while digging around. The Buchner, Gentry and Tyree families are all following each other very recently.

After 247 updated their rankings and their composites, here is the list of RB offers that ND has sent out. There are still some question marks as to who is being recruited at what position, but I'm pretty sure DeaMonte Trayanum is visiting ND with the purpose of meeting Lance Taylor which would lead me to believe he's a RB recruit, Daniyel Ngata was offered as a RB but idk if the staff is even recruiting him anymore as there hasn't been a peep in about 14 months since his visit.

For RB recruiting I am really excited about the prospects that ND is chasing. I think the position starts with Bijan Robinson & Chris Tyree as the top prizes. Bijan obviously seems to be interested in Ohio State with the influx of CB's, but I think there's a long way to go in the recruitment considering he's never been to Ohio State or Notre Dame (only 99% sure he hasn't been to OSU). Tyree is fascinating because he's been to ND where they laid out the red carpet and now they managed to convince him to take a 2nd unofficial to meet Lance Taylor in March followed by a 3rd visit in June. By his 3rd visit in June, it could be possible that he'll have visited his rumored top 3 (Oklahoma, ND, and Bama) with 3 visits going to ND and probably 2 to Bama and Oklahoma. Visit amounts don't matter enormously when you've visited multiple time at multiple places, but I think ND is doing all they can in that recruitment and hopefully they can pull it off.

The next grouping I would consider Seth McGowan, Michael Drennen II, and Tirek Murphy. I think they are all really really good, they've all shown some level of interest in ND, and they're all heavily recruited (27 offers or more for each dude). I think Tirek Murphy would be the best of this grouping as he's a super talented kid, has a bunch of high academic offers, and is visiting ND in March. Michael Drennen II I really like as he has 30 offers to his name, is close by which could be an advantage, has almost all of the top academic offers, and has already met Lance Taylor. Seth McGowan included ND in his top 8 and ND went down to visit him several times during the winter recruiting period, but until he sets up a visit then it is hard to know how interested he really is.

Then you have all of the 3 star kids like DeaMonte Trayanum, Reggie Love, JuTahn McClain, Kyle Edwards, and newly offered Kobe Pryor. A few are really strong prospects and have lots of interest in Notre Dame. Trayanum, from everything I've read and understand, seems like an OSU lock virtually. I think he's a good prospect, but I'd almost rather steer clear or be cautious because even if he did commit to ND he could be a candidate to flip if OSU circled back and had interest. I think Reggie Love is a strong prospect and good fit, but I think he's a good plan B if the higher end dudes don't work out.

Overall, I really hope ND can land 1-2 of Bijan Robinson, Chris Tyree, Seth McGowan, Michael Drennen II, or Tirek Murphy. My dream class would be Chris Tyree and Tirek Murphy. Either way, this position group looks good right now and I'm excited to see what Lance Taylor can do with it.

A couple of Washington DB's will be on campus the in 2 weeks.

Kasen Kinchen is a CB/WR. He had - 50 rec .. 1050 yd .. 13TD .. 56 Tkl .. 13 PBU .. 7 Int - 1P6.

Good student with Oregon & Cal offers

<iframe class="twofourseven-embed" style="max-width: 100%" frameBorder="0" width="600" height="200" src="https://247sports.com/PlayerSport/Kasen-Kinchen-at-Lake-Stevens-Sr-211060/Embed/"></iframe><script async src="https://assets.247sports.com/Scripts/SkyNet/Shared/embed.js" charSet="utf-8"></script>

Donovan Clark is a big 6-3/190 CB right now. His size obviously makes him a Safety / Rover prospect too.

He had 6 Int - 1P6 and a couple of return TD's on special teams.

Clark is also a good student and has Ore, Ore St & Wazzu offers.

Both will also visit Northwestern on the swing through Chicago and will be accompanied by 2021 potential 5* WR, Emeka Egbuka.

I would love to have a 6'3" CB.

Long dusty road to travel to get this commitment.

Trey Leroux committed to OSU.

He worked hard for an ND offer that never came. Visited twice last season & camped at the Lineman's Challenge with Quinn.

Leroux and fellow Buckeye commit Jakob James both visited ND early looking for offers. When they didn't get them, they stayed home. Nice feeling to have knowing OSU is filling up on prospects ND passed on... and filling up in general. 247 did a freebie on 2020 OSU recruiting class and said they'd go 4-5 at OL. Current class is Paris Johnson, Luke Wypler, James & Leroux. They are looking at a lot of guys on ND's board for that 5th spot... Atteberry, Baker, Rosengarten, Zinter, Christ, etc. I think they want Atteberry the most because they have Indiana's Josh Fryar (#6 OC) scheduled for multiple visits in the upcoming month. Fryar was 247's #1 OC before the last update but Atteberry's film is MUCH better. Miller, Wypler, Atteberry would be as good of a 2 year run on OG/C's as you could ask for. But pretty sure ND has joined OSU as the co-leader for Atteberry, if not taken the lead.

Does this also indicate OSU saying "uncle" on Tosh Baker??? They scare me because OSU has the rest of the AZ 5*'s full attention.

Very interesting stuff.

Plan B to Tirek Murphy I hope. Tirek Murphy, Chris Tyree, Kyle Edwards, Michael Drennen II, JuTahn McClain, and DeaMonte Trayanum have all visited/will visit recently or in the next few weeks. I think we’ll see a clearer picture of the board soon enough. I like Trayanum but I’d like Murphy even more as the 220+ lb RB.
