With those numbers, his offer list is pretty lacking. Is he waiting for the OU offer?
Haven't watched his film yet, but love the production and track background.

Sevion Morrison. He was #8 on my RB board and then he throws out an interest in ND to Lemming. Moved up to #4.

Huge production. 2600+ yds rushing. Track sprinter too. One to watch if ND decides to get involved.

Based on what I can find online from last spring, I'm pretty skeptical of that 100m time. But we will see... people can make huge gains at that age.

At least they're making an effort, it may be a pipedream, but you can't win if you don't play.

This guy was picking up huge offers in May of 2017. January of 2019 is too late to the party unless you splash cash like an SEC school. Way too late for this kid

No it's not. If he's interested in ND and leaving the state of Florida, there is still plenty of time. He hasn't been on an unofficial visit to a school outside of Florida in over 1 year. He didn't hit up a single gameday visit outside of Florida all season. It's not like having an offer would've provided much of a benefit, like an unofficial gameday visit.

Also, just because he wasn't offered doesn't mean there isn't dialogue. In a lot of cases, when prospects get offers one of the first things they say is "the staff has been talking to me about this for awhile now." Or something along those lines.

There is 11 months until signing day which is more than enough time, but what I mean by the late offer is that Bama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Florida, and Miami have been on him for a long while now and most guys who have those schools on them for a while with ND not having offered means they are probably going to those schools and not ND. Jamaree Salyer is a guy who I think ND had a shot with because they offered 20 months before signing day and got him on campus early and often. They took a shot with Bru McCoy where they had him on campus as a youngster. ND doesnt normally win those battles anyway but I just think when ND comes in far later than a lot of the big dogs then the ground to make up is probably huge and insurmountable. In general recruiting, offering a recruit 11 months before signing day is absolutely fine, but I was just illustrating that Fred Davis II has very established relationships with some huge football factories and I’d be surprised if ND is able to make some inroads. Always up for a surprise tho!

And to my above point, nobody has got him on campus, outside of Florida, in over 1 year. He didn't take in a single gameday atmosphere, outside of Florida, all year. So, outside of the actual offer, what ground was lost? We often communicate with prospects prior to offers and in some cases a lot. Do we know if that did or didn't happen?

What are those established relationships? Who's his primary recruiter at each school? How often does he talk with each school? Has ND been in contact prior to the offer? Do we know any of this information? If not, kind of sounds like we are making A LOT of assumptions, no?

FWIW, I'd be surprised if ND is able to make inroads here but not because timing of offer.

He's definitely been to Miami and UF a bunch in 2018 so you're absolutely right about that and he could be misleading in his tweets about going to schools far away because he tweets about the visit and no news comes out about it except for the USC visit in April. Either way this is a moot point because he ain't coming to ND so I'm just taking interest in a recruitment that will end with Bama, Ohio State, Florida, or Miami.

I stand corrected on the visits. Forgot he visited USC because he was around for his 7 on 7 tournament. And I didn't see the OSU visit confirmed. Weird I didn't see it confirmed until recently. Not sure it changes my view though. If we offer 1 year ago, does he visit ND in the last year? I doubt it. Only visited USC because it was next to his 7 on 7 tournament, "why not", and OSU is OSU, not sure it matters.

Matt Freeman on the ISD Podcast mentioned the top quick-twitch pass rushers that ND is in play for...

1) Braiden McGregor
2) Jalen Logan-Redding
3) Arik Gilbert

Braiden McGregor from Michigan is a kid that ND might lead for already and they've done a great job getting him on campus early and often. Jalen Logan-Redding apparently is tearing up the camp circuit and performed really well at the underclassmen combine in San Antonio and sounds like a future solid 4* recruit if people are scared off by the .8628 rating of his right now. Arik Gilbert is someone who I didn't think ND even had a chance for. Freeman said Gilbert's parents are excited about what ND can offer the kid academically and that academics are important to him. He has Duke, ND, Michigan, USC, and Vandy offers. Still think he ends up at Bama or UGA, but surprised ND is getting a chance and hopefully gets him on campus.

Looks like ND actually got some traction with Kristian Story. Would be awesome if he came back some time in the spring. The kid is a big time safety prospect and would be a huge pull by Terry Joseph out of Bama territory!
