The ball was underthrown and he had to slow down to catch it. WE HAVE NO QB!

With how flat-footed Avery was, I'm sure it was thrown with minimal effort lol.

That's not to pick on AD, I hope he settles in nicely there. Every rep will help; can only improve from here.

I always enjoy watching the depth chart movement during spring ball. Certainly nothing final (and just Rivals best guess), but from start of spring practice to the B&G game, typically some interesting movement.

https://notredame.rivals.com/news/depth-chart-144

not that many uber interesting guesses right now, but a little surprised Bauer is listed as 3rd at Mike, and AD 2nd at Corner. Heard Bauer was a little hobbled. Can anyone confirm?
Drop End and Z WR look crowded.

Not sure if he's hobbled but Lea told us this means absolutely nothing right now. They are going to be throwing out combinations at Mike/Buck and don't read anything into it.

I wonder when we'll start seeing reports rolling in? I suppose about an hour from now?

I'm more excited about that than the tourney starting.

Sucks for Drew. Hopefully he can be good to go for Fall Camp. Driskell is pretty high on him and picked him to be the surprise player on defense this year. Compared him to a rich man's version of Joe Schmidt.

I would hate to see a poor man's version....

Get out of that doghouse Kevin!!!

I know it means little, but he's been sitting atop the spring depth chart at Mike. Really sucks for depth at minimum.

theres no depth chart for LB's to speak of. The other day Bilal and Genmark-Heath (at Mike) were running with the One's

Hopefully the spring praise he receives will motivate him to get right with the coaching staff/show his commitment to being a great teammate. We all want to see him succeed and it's now obvious to everyone that he's a special talent.

If we could pair him with Claypool and have our TEs utilized more, we'll have a very potent offense.

i know, but rivals gives it a college try based on what they are "hearing". it turned out to be pretty spot on last year going into the spring game.
regardless if he's 1st or 3rd, sucks for depth.

White ran out with the One's on the 1st day so i am guessing thats their logic

Bilal - Genmark-Heath - Simon

I think that’s actually my favorite group of LBers for the 2019 season. Might not have the 3 best instinctual LBers on the field or the hardest hitting, but I think this is the most athletic 3 LBers that ND can come up with and that would excite me tremendously. Coverage would be exciting with that group. I’d love to see Jack Lamb and Bo Bauer come through with some playing time as well. Drew White, Jon Jones, and Jeremiah O-Koramoah all have some limitations whether this be size, injuries or other factors and I like a trio of Bilal, JGH, and Simon.

So, hasn't White had multiple shoulder surgeries? I wonder if this turns into a medical by the fall.

On his podcast today Prister said it was Bilal at the Mike and JGH at Buck.

That's interesting. Not sure what I think about that. Bilal all the way from Rover to Mike....

I'd love that line up if GH can handle it. He is up to low 230s IIRC.

If you haven't watched practice or seen every LB combo, how you can you have a favorite group?

Why not Lamb - GH - Simon? Bilal Lamb Simon? Lamb Bauer Simon?

Are Bauer & Lamb more athletic than the 3 I mentioned? I don't think so from what I've seen, heard, and read. It is speculation, but that's what half of the stuff on this board is. Based on what I've seen, heard and read I think that the three I mentioned are the most athletic dudes in the LBer room and I'd love to see that trio on the field in 2019. If they have poor instincts (Bilal has been accused of this), can't cover well, or don't play the position well then obviously you go with the best three combo you can find, but I am saying and have said in the last post that this trio would excite me because of their potential of covering a lot of ground on the field and having athleticism of the likes we've probably never seen from the LBer corps at Notre Dame (as a group, Jaylon Smith was definitely the most athletic individual I've seen, but I mean as a group).

I guess my ultimate question is how can you have an opinion when we haven't seen all of the LBs taking snaps? If you're talking about pure athleticism, what about JOK? Many people said Lamb was incredibly fluid and while maybe not the best 40 time, has really good football instincts.

I don't want the 3 LBs with the best combined 40 or the highest verticals. I want the 3 best LBs that can complete their assignments and I can't say who that is because we've seen so little from all of our LBs to this point.

Maybe I've missed all these reports about our young LBs.

I believe your confusing him with David Adams...he was injured in the spring last year with a foot injury

he struggles in space with covering which this move helps if anything

never thought him as an instinctual thumper either. if he's that bad in space, what does that say about Rover last year lol.
