I'm kinda surprised Adams didn't weigh in heavier

He's looking to kill that 40 time, I'm guessing that's one of the biggest indicators of where a RB will be drafted. If he shuttles and VJs well, he'll see his stock warm up.

I hope all of our guys kill their testing. (not their testers)

Nailed it. He definitely lost weight in order to run fast times and jump further and higher. I bet on Pro Day you will see him 10-15 lbs heavier.

Barkley benched 29 times, Nick Chub too. Impressive.

EQ 10 reps to Smythe's 9 - take a lap Durham.

I figured Nelson would kill the bench press and possibly have the most reps of the combine. McGlinchey had 27, which is super with those ling arms.

Josh Adams with 18 is respectable, but would have liked to see him in the 20's.

EQ with 10 reps, even though he has long arms, is disappointing. I would have liked to have seen him over 15.

And Smythe smh...I don't know what to say. Maybe it's lingering effects from the shoulder surgery in 2015 that never healed? Either way it's bad. It either shows that he has not put in time in the weight room or he has never properly healed from the shoulder surgery.

Crazy thing is that Nelson's arms are just as long.

Different build types. OGs tend to be shorter and squatter, OTs have more length. Nelson is actually a little tall for your typical NFL OG. Some NFL teams like Dallas disregard height at the position but usually interior lineman are shorter than guys that play on the perimeter.

Multiple factors play into bench presses, including the legs which are used as leverage. Taller guys with longer legs might not BP as well despite similar arm lengths.

Kind of disappointed with Smythe's BP numbers even though a TE relies as much on leverage and technique when it comes to blocking. Hell's bells, I'm only 5'7"/160 and I can BP 225# 14 times.

I'm going to miss Nelson teabagging blue chip SEC defensive linemen.

Errrrr I don’t think Adams ran or did any on field drills yesterday.

Yeah, he was supposed to be in the later group but didn't do anything. Haven't seen a reason yet but haven't looked real hard either.

Yeah, he was supposed to be in the later group but didn't do anything. Haven't seen a reason yet but haven't looked real hard either.

Adams didn't run the 40-yard dash or participate in any agility drills at the combine, but he completed the bench press. His 18 reps at 225 pounds ranked tied for ninth among running backs.

NO reason mentioned in pennlive article
