Goodness, our upperclassmen (except Mooney) are really hurting us right now.

Brey is completely lost with rotations.

I will say that, even though our offense is just completely out of rhythm right now, the guys are playing hard.

Rex and TJ have made some real hustle plays coming down the stretch.

Welcome to the party, Rex. Honestly didn’t think we’d ever see this type of game out of him this year.

I had watched DePaul twice this year. Honestly thought they’d beat us in a close game.

Much better showing today against DePaul. Up 86-62 late in the game. I've been very hard on Rex, but he's having a great game with 20 points.Gibbs with 18, Nate Laz with 15, and Hubb with 13.

glad to see the good guys hang on. not their best game, but the swings swung farther to the IL side, or at least it felt like it. just happy for a W

This is going to be fun to watch this team grow. You can tell the Brey is taking a much different approach this year in his coaching and I am excited to see what it brings. Durham and Harvey played great and took a step forward. I hope that they continue to play 7-10 and allow someone new each game to take a step forward.

BTW, the attitude on Hubb is fantastic and is needed IMO. He will learn to play within the offense, but is attitude and ability is a unique talent that will serve ND good.

I dont know if I can get excited about a win over Illinois, but it is nice getting a win against another major conference team. I always thought the team was being undersold just because they were young. Were gonna be good later this season

I'll bump this up for "fans".

Never thought we'd be within 7 at half (let alone leading at times). Great striking distance given the poor shooting. Curious to see if the team has any magic in 2nd half. I'm predicting the wheels come off more though, however.

Unlike almost every other Brey team, our FT shooting sucks. Historically we have relied on low turnovers and good free throw shooting to win these close games.

Part of me wants to just say there are games you just tip your cap. Oklahoma shot the crap out of the ball.

But the other part of me wants to scream about our guards and how bad they are together. Brey has to swallow some pride and have a talk with Rex about his offense. If it's getting close to 10 on the shot clock, you are now a designated screener. You get 2 dribbles.

At this point, I'd like to see Mooney back at the 4 playing with Durham. Sit DJ. Sit Hubb if he goes on one of his 40 dribble possessions (same with TJ).

Now, all that said, that's a good Oklahoma team, and I thought of the next three, this would be the toughest for us. I actually like our odds against Purdue (we have a bunch of bodies to throw at Edwards) and UCLA (my god their ISO ball makes us look like Princeton).

You do know they set (tied?) single game record earlier this year, right?

Regardless, OK shot literally 52% from deep and only a 5 point loss? Not the end of the world. Very happy to see how the team played in the 2nd half, big offensive improvement.

Shooting FT's against University of Illinois-Chicago in a blow out is a lot different then shooting FT's against quality opponents in a close game.

All I know is that if we hit our FT's against Illinois, we win easily, instead of a 2 point game that we were lucky not to lose. We needed to make our FT's this game to have a chance to win. We didn't

Durham showed us something tonight. His offensive game is starting to take shape.

Durham has played really well the last two games. But, he just looks so odd in the post. He reminds me of someone who was 6'6 until his Junior year of high school, and grew 6 inches in a really short amount of time. He has a really good touch, which is surprising, but everything he does looks (and this isn't really meant to be an insult) uncoordinated. Like he's still not used to being that tall and lanky.

To win that game tonight, we would have had to hit 17/19 from the FT line.

It obviously didn't help us, but it isn't what did us in... Plenty of offense, needed to find a way to lower OKs three ball percentage... That is what did us in.

Playing UCLA on ESPN 2 right now. Bill Walton is insufferable.

I love Bill for games that I'm not invested in... But, it's ND, I care, and it's his Bruins... Recipe for disaster tonight.

Both teams are combined 2-18 over the last 6 mins or so. Ugly offense.

Guh, This is irritating. UCLA is not a good team. This is a game we can win if we actually play any semblance of good offense. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look to be the case.

ND on a 7-0 run.
Moses (season 40 percent FT shooter) going to the line.
Hoping to keep this going.

Would love to see us make this competitive... Thought this one set up for a blowout for our first real road game this year with the frosh.

Seeing us play competitive would make me happy here.
