Another week another crew of announcers beside themselves over one sided calls in the Browns game.... James Lofton having trouble staying calm

The NFL is absolutely screwing the Browns on a weekly basis now. Wow. Browns are playing well enough to be 3-1 heading to 4-1. This shit is unreal.

Oh my god that may have been the ugliest game winning kick of all time. Can you cut a guy that just hit a game winning kick?!?

Bullshit I’ve seen that called one way or the other hundreds of times.... if that’s the pats it’s called three different ways.

I agree it sucks. Either they need to be consistent, or change the rule.
IMO, no way you should ever be allowed to knock a WR/TE down after 10 yards..

Happy for Brees dude is a beast and my pick for best QB of this era... shame we value team accomplishments so much with QBs... dude is a top three QB I’ve ever seen.

The Browns already played the Saints, Steelers and Ravens and still have the 2nd most difficult schedule remaining according to FPI... this after an 0-16 record... lol

I feel like the AFC North is consistently getting the shaft on cross-division and cross-conference scheduling, but that's probably just paranoia.

After all, we know there's no way that Goodell would deliberately slight his beloved Steelers lol.

I'm encouraged by the Bengals 4-1 start (I tried telling you there was no way they'd be a bottom-dweller like everyone seemed to think), but there's plenty of time for things to trend to 7-9/8-8 pending injuries.

One good thing is that they don't have any primetime games the rest of the way (pending flex scheduling), so Dalton won't be imploding on national TV prior to the playoffs lol. That's good for saving a win or two.

Assuming a split with the Browns, who will keep getting better, and wins over Tampa Bay and Oakland, the Bengals need to find three wins in these games to get to 10-wins and the playoffs:

Steelers
@ Chiefs
Saints
@ Ravens
Broncos
@ Chargers
@ Steelers

If they can somehow win two of their next three, I'll feel really good. But I'm not counting on it. I feel like they're going to need to go 2-1 against the Broncos, Chargers and Steelers to close the season.

Brown stating today that the officials in Sunday's game thought the game was still going after the field goal, were talking about a potential kickoff or some such when they realized the game was over... lol not surprising.

I think they can split the Steelers series, but the Bengals definitely aren't winning @ Pittsburgh to end the season even if Tommy Maddox splits reps with Charlie Batch at QB.

I see Denver and LAC as the most likely from that group, followed by the home game against the Steelers and @ Baltimore, then @ KC and NO at home.

Chargers/Browns is suddenly a very big game for both teams and for a number of other teams that could battle out things with either.

@Chiefs and @Steelers are the two games in that stretch that'd worry me the most.

The other games are winnable. If the Bengals want the division, they'll need to earn it. Good teams can go on the road and win against a divisional opponent with a bad offense (Ravens) or vs a team w/ no home field advantage (Chargers). Unless the Saints D is truly back, that could definitely be a win in Cincy.

Saints/Bengals will be a shootout, just like the Atlanta game was.

I have doubts about Dalton keeping up his current level (he's been a miracle worker considering how bad the OL has been), but the defense is getting better now that Burfict is working back into the rotation and now that Sam Hubbard is getting more reps.

If Carl Lawson gets it going to join Atkins, Dunlap and Hubbard in disrupting QB's, I'll feel REALLY good.

They can take two games from that list I mentioned and get to 9-7 and probably make the playoffs with a tiebreaker or two, but I'd rather see 10-wins and a likely division crown.

Sweeping the Browns rather than splitting the series would also help, so I hope Acamp experiences further pain and misery.

How dafaq do the pats have an easier schedule than us year after year after year... fuck division, they just went to the super bowl for the third time in four years yet they have ANOTHER BS schedule while after a 0-16 campaign have another top five schedule,... this. Is. Bullshit.

The Browns already played the Saints, Steelers and Ravens and still have the 2nd most difficult schedule remaining according to FPI... this after an 0-16 record... lol

Since this has been mentioned multiple times, the NFL schedules are designed to create as much parity as possible. There's no randomness involved. Besides two opponents, you already know your schedules going forward in the future:

6 games: divisional games
4 games: games against rotating division in your conference
4 games: games against rotating division in the opposing conference
2 games: games against teams in divisions of your conference who finished in the same place as the standings as your team last year (i.e. Browns play the 4th-place finisher in other AFC divisions).

Edit since I'm sure it's coming:

Brady vs. the AFC East: 76-21 (78.4%)
Brady vs. the AFC North: 31-7 (81.6%)

I know all this... it's still frustrating af how we end up with the schedule we do after one win in two years.

Both of my football teams have great defenses and stability at QB from guys not expected by many to bring such.

Honestly it's a strange feeling, not having some kind of dark cloud hoovering over football in my life hasn't happened in one form or the other since I was 13......
