2 calls go against Cleveland that are plain as day in their favor. Scoop 6 whistled dead. And Hyde 1st down ruled short. Love the flag against us on the kickoff when our returner made no effort to even go near the kick. Rarely see that (and by rarely I mean I’ve never seen it).

I kind of understand going for it. A tie is pretty much the same as a loss. I really question the play called. Play action with Luck rolling out would have been a better choice.

Yeah. Defense looked bad. Especially in the secondary. But, this game should be final already with CLE being 2-1-1. I think one of the refs is SonofOahu.

2018-2019 NFL Season

Officials were bad but there was no pass rush, a ton of missed tackles and horrible coverage. They had a 14 point lead late into the third and shlt the bed. LB’s are really bad. If I hear Pro Bowler Joe Schobert one more time I am going to throw my remote through the TV. He reminds me of senior year Joe Schmidt. Makes
All his tackles 7 yards down field.

In all of my years of watching football I've never been so sure that the refs had an agenda. Not just what they called on the Browns...but what they weren't calling for the Raiders. Sick to my stomach!

I truly have never seen anything like it. The last call literally cost the Browns the game. I have watched that replay 50 times. There is no way they could move that spot back. The ball was coward of his elbow when he landed.

That is where I'm at with it as well. I understand going for it - screw the tie - but the play call could have been better.

These are the Football Outsiders team efficiency ratings through four weeks of 2018, measured by our proprietary Defense-adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) system that breaks down every single play and compares a team's performance to the league average based on situation in order to determine value over average. (Explained further here.)

OFFENSE and DEFENSE DVOA are adjusted to consider all fumbles, kept or lost, as equal value. SPECIAL TEAMS DVOA is adjusted for type of stadium (warm, cold, dome, Denver) and week of season. As always, positive numbers represent more points so DEFENSE is better when it is NEGATIVE.

Because it is early in the season, opponent adjustments are only at 40 percent strength; they will increase 10 percent every week through Week 10. As always, positive numbers represent more points so DEFENSE is better when it is NEGATIVE.

DAVE is a formula which combines our preseason projection with current DVOA to get a more accurate forecast of how a team will play the rest of the season. Right now, the preseason projection makes up 50 percent of DAVE for most teams (60 percent for Carolina and Washington).
