Does anyone else wonder what this draft would look like if none of you had read a mock draft?
That's kind of like asking what the real NFL draft would be like if GMs didn't do any research.
Lot of good players out there for ArmyIrish47 and my 49ers.
Hoping for either John Ross or Tak McKinley or Adoree' Jackson or Pat Mahomes or Alvin Kamara...

Do it. I can't handle the pressure.
Soooo, with a recent real-life trade for a pass-rush specialist and some news coming out of Cincy about what they might do, I would re-do my first-round choice, grabbing on offensive playmaker (despite the huge value of Allen at pick no. 9) and rely on grabbing difference makers on defense in rounds 2 and 3, considering the depth of the DE/DL positions in the draft.
Dalvin Cook, Fournette, Corey Davis, who ya thinking?
Bengals beat writers are picking WR's in the top-10 a lot lately when they mock things, so chances are someone in the front office is saying "we can wait until rounds 2 and 3 for edge rushers."
I'd probably go with Corey Davis on a re-draft. I don't like using a 9th pick on him since he lasted until 18 in this one, but it's a crap-shoot as to where teams will grab WR's in this draft (since the position in general is a crap-shoot after the top 3 guys), so I would suck it up and reach for Davis at 9 probably.
Davis and AJ Green opposite one another would be so nice.
The organization seems to still believe in Hill/Bernard as the 1-2 punch, despite Hill's inconsistency and Bernard's ACL. But I would also look hard at Cook or McCaffrey. Fournette might fit the AFC North style of running back, but he's got some mileage on him and is showing more wear-and-tear than Cook right now, and McCaffrey brings more versatility to backing up Hill. The Bengals could trade Gio in that instance, and have a better version already on the roster.
hard saying how the draft goes but names like Curtis Samuel, and JuJu Smith-Schuster could still be there in the second round and those are still some solid weapons to add. Hell maybe even Mike Williams is there for them to take with their first.
If OJ Howard is there when they pick would they take him? Eifert has been hit with injury bug.

How long has it been since the last pick?

I thought Sherm was taking this one, but I'll go ahead and knock it out using his list.
With the 34th pick of the 2017 NFL Draft the San Francisco 49ers select......

John Ross, WR - University of Washington
The Niner's illustrious history of game breaking receivers has fallen on hard times, but with a new system and staff, better days are ahead. Sure handed and explosive, Ross gives the Niners a unique weapon that Shanahan can deploy all over the field. He lacks the size of a prototypical # 1 receiver, but with the unique looks this offense will bring (once Cousins arrives next year) he can still post top end numbers. His first year will be about fundamentals as he works to blow the top off of defenses and learn how to be a professional receiver. Next year he will make the leap to Pro-Bowl caliber game changer.
