Quincy Wilson at 6??? God damn I feel like we were just recruiting that kid last year and and he was a low 4 star with speed issues.

Taco Charlton played like a bum under Hoke and now he's a first rounder wtf

In round 1 they have us passing on a QB for defense... then in round two they say since we "since they got their franchise QB in round one, time to focus on defense"... then the very next pick after that they have us taking a QB......................

perfect browns logic

The NFL should give us two more mercy picks in the first two rounds... four picks just ain't gonna do it... Please tell me they spend on a couple good FAs this year... a safety and a OL or two would do wonders for my blood pressure.

I don't know that any QB's in this year's draft are going to end up franchise QB's. Of the top QB's on the board, some were great college QB's but I don't project them as NFL stars. I think this is the weakest draft class I've seen in quite a few years. There's about a half dozen that I see being true difference maker but that's about it. Jonathan Allen, Myles Garrett, Tim Williams, Cam Robinson, Leonard Fournette off the top of my head...

Didn't know the OL class was that weak before looking at that mock draft. ND could have had 2 of the top 3 OL taken.

Just did a mock draft and my lord, this unlikely scenario had me stiff for the rest of the afternoon.

If the Browns somehow pulled this off I would run through my neighborhood naked.

You'd be Jimmy's daddy as far as I'm concerned, and probably biologically as well.

My thoughts, precombine, so things can change:

Get Garrett and Trubisky in the first. Get help in the secondary (like lots of it) and maybe another o linemen (they still haven't replaced Mack)... a running back upgrade would be nice too... fact is, they must get a couple big FAs this offseason if they are to make a real turnaround... they simply don't have enough picks to fill every hole, even if they hit multiple home runs.

I see a lot of bad GM's in this draft. LOL. You did right with Myles Garrett. Allen won't get past the Bears at 4. I'm completely convinced Kizer goes round one and likely top ten. If my Steelers ended up with that draft I would be sick. Horrible. And whoever picked Fields for the Patriots needs his head examined. One caveat- draft is four months away so many things will change between now and then.

I have zero interest in Trubisky. I'd much rather take Kizer or wait until 2018.

Otherwise I agree with your assessment.

Take Walter football with a huge grain of salt. NFLdraftscout.com is the best site to follow year round for the draft. Then when we get into draft season the guys on NFL.com are excellent. All have worked in pro scouting capacities.

It is all computer based. I think they use other users picks from other mock drafts to build a database of who each team is likeliest to pick. I agree there is zero chance either Kizer or Allen falls to where I got them. Kizer won't fall past the Browns second 1st IMO.

NFL 2016 - Chris Mortensen, Adam Schefter Week 16 notebook - Five best Coach of the Year candidates

I thought this was interesting as it relates to QBs in the draft:

Quarterbacks expected to be available this offseason include Colin Kaepernick, Jay Cutler and Romo. Yet the quarterbacks who likely will draw the most interest are New England's backup Jimmy Garoppolo, Cincinnati's backup AJ McCarron and Tampa Bay's backup Mike Glennon, none of whom were first-round picks. Garoppolo, McCarron and Glennon are all 27 or under and possess what personnel people perceive to be great upside.

Glennon is an unrestricted free agent and could fetch $13-15 million per year on his next deal -- maybe more depending on the number of teams bidding. Both Garappolo and McCarron are under contract for 2017, so interested teams will have to broker a trade, which might not be easy with the Vikings and Eagles establishing a steep quarterback trade market this past offseason. The Patriots will want a lot, as will the Bengals. And just last week, one person close to the Patriots said he would be "stunned" if New England traded Garoppolo. The interest from other teams will be there, but so will the interest to retain him to try to ensure a successful transition from Brady to Garoppolo.

Jimmy G just turned 25 and has spent three years under Brady/Belichick/McDaniels and has looked great when given the opportunity. Is it worth trading for a guy like that in a weak QB year?

McCarron has started an actual playoff game and has done well. He could probably be had for a 2nd rounder at this point.

13-15 million for Glennon is a joke but NFL teams are stupid...

Bears trading or not trading for one of these guys could change Kizer's draft stock by a full round.

I literally do not want any of the QB's mentioned. Frankly... including Kizer. Love him, but I don't think he is the kind of player you bring in and play right away. The Bears need help now. If we are gonna get a guy that's not gonna be successful, may as well keep Barkley and draft a project QB in later rounds. Then hope one of them, a FA or a future draft pick pans out.

Either of the elite pass rushers... then go from there, this whole draft should be, 'who is the best guy left?' For the Browns... they need more than just a QB.

No one should expect Kizer to immediately be a starter at his young age. But if you think he can be your franchise QB within 3 years you take him. True franchise QB's are very hard to come by. Bears are built to win immediately anyway regardless of who the QB is.

Tough break for Jake Butt. He might've played himself out of getting drafted in the first round. Even with his injury, I wouldn't mind if Pittsburgh drafted him in the second round.

Second knee injury... Do we know if its the same knee? I think he falls to late 3rd... He was never an Elite type of TE talent.. Hes a lot like Rudolph who was a second rounder.. Now with knee injury.. Who knows

I always saw him as more of an average tight end. Long career, but never anything exceptional.

Wut? That's ridiculous. The guy is the best TE in college football, All American and Mackey award recipient.

College awards and draft stock are two completely different things. NFL scouts would have OJ Howard from Bama, John Njoku from Miami and Bucky Hodges from Virginia Tech as top TE's in 2017 draft.

TE is not a need for Steelers. Not with Green, James and Grimble on roster.
