Surprised Boulware dropped this far. He hurt or something?
Hopefully that now translates into we DIDN'T.

Michigan has 10 picks. What an embarasing draft for nd. Get some damn talent and develop it.
List of draft-eligible guys. Don't see anything indicating Cole will get drafted. Was and am surprised by that. I'm sure someone will take a flier on Jarron. Other than that...
Jarron Jones
Isaac Rochell
Cole Luke
James Onwualu
Tarean Folston
Avery Sebastian
Scott Daly
Chase Hounshell

Not hurt. This is where he was supposed to go. He is athletically limited. But he is a football player and a big time leader. He should have a long career in the league.
Come on Koon. I hate when you write things like this without thinking.
We have dominated Michigan in the number of players drafted the last few years.
As mentioned previously they had like 30 seniors or something. Notre Dame didn't lose many players this past year. And as mentioned previously big Mike and Q decided to come back to school.
Also keep in mind the following players would have been seniors this past year and would be drafted in this draft if not for leaving early or other issues:
Jaylon Smith
Will Fuller
Max Refield
Greg Bryant
Corey Robinson
Tori Hunter Jr. I believe he would have been drafted if not for a million injuries.
Chase Hounshell is OSU now, don't put him on our list

Koon says as he ignores the 6 guys we had drafted in the first 3 rounds last year with a 7th in the beginning of the 4th. Michigan had 3 guys drafted last year with the highest being at the bottom of the 3rd. We had six guys drafted before they had a single guy drafted. Two of our guys went in the first round last year just like Michigan had this year, except both of our guys were drafted higher than either of theirs. In the first three rounds, both teams had 6 total players drafted.
Since 2010, not including 2017, Michigan has had 19 players drafted with 2 of those players going in the first round (5 in the first two rounds). Since 2010, not including 2017, Notre Dame has had 31 players drafted with 6 going in the first round (14 in the first two rounds).
In the time that Kelly has been at Notre Dame, you know what small Notre Dame draft classes have signified for Notre Dame? A great year looming in the upcoming seasons. In 2011, only one Notre Dame player was drafted, Kyle Rudolph. In 2012, ND went 12-1. In 2015, only one Notre Dame player was drafted, Ben Koyack. In the 2015 football season, ND went 10-3 with all their losses coming to top 6 teams.
The only thing that is completely insane about this Michigan draft class is the sheer size of it, but like others have pointed out, they had over 35 players leave after this season. That is insane, and I cannot think of when that has ever happened at Notre Dame.
We have the talent...we don't have a talent developer.
From 2011-2016, Notre Dame has produced 6 1st round draft picks which leading up to this draft was tied for 6th best in the nation. Not sure where we sit now, but goodness. Do you really think talent hasn't been developed under Kelly? That's just ignorant.
Scouting reports. Eye of the beholder?
Trey Hendrickson, OLB, was noted to have a "Weakness" of "short arms" at 32".
Alex Anzalone, OLB, "desired size and athleticism" with 32 1/8" arms.
Ruben Foster, ILB, has 32 3/8" arms.
Teams pay attention to winning the most valuable D player at the Shrine game as Hendrickson did.
WOW,... not so irrelevant from Mr Irrelevant.
We had some good recruiting classes, which of course include first round pick type players. And what were the results on the field from 2011-2016? Mediocre, to put it mildly. Not convinced there was a ton of player development.

How many were those Kelly recruits?
Harrison
Floyd
Eifert
Martin
were all Weis recruits.

I think this may be a bit disingenuous. There are real concerns present.
Alex is prone to shoulder separations (he's had 4 already). Ruben had a deluded sample from a program that hasn't gone out of it's way to punish substance abusers (as evident from recent testimonials).
Hendrickson, I admit, I know nothing about. Seems like that lack of vetting may be his largest attribute; statistically speaking.
It is not the job of Notre Dame's football program to produce a pipeline of draftable talent for the NFL. The fact that we had two - with 2-3 more near misses - after so many high-round picks last year is just fine. As others said, it means we have a bunch of nearly-NFL-ready guys coming back next season looking to win football games. Doing that will do us a lot more good than having Cole Luke picked in the fifth round instead of signing as an I drafted free agent.
It is the job of ND's football program to win games. If it does that, then the NFL draft pipeline will follow. It hasn't been doing much of either lately.
And guys coming back to win games is nice, but that is conditional on them actually winning those games.
P.S. It's not good when your highest-drafted player is getting asked questions in his post-draft press conference about how big of an *sshole your coach is.
(Connor) Harris was the 2016 winner of the Cliff Harris Award, which is given to the National Defensive Player of the Year at the NCAA Division II, NAIA Division III, and NAIA levels. He was also a first-team all-MIAA and All-American selection. During this past season, Harris recorded 138 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.
In his career, Harris was a four-time all-MIAA selection, including the 2015 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and a three-time All-American. He is the NCAA All-Division record holder for career tackles with 633 stops. He averaged over 13 tackles a game in his career, and had 38 double-figure tackle games. In his career, Harris also had 34.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, six interceptions, 14 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries.
As a wildcat quarterback, he rushed for seven touchdowns and averaged 6.6 yards per carry. He was also a key special teams contributors, including averaging 37.3 yards per punt and making 12-of-12 PATs that he attempted in his career.
At first glance, Seattle did well for themselves. Browns too.
Patriots only had four picks?
