At this point, our best potential (read: mostly unrealistic) class would be to offer all of the IMG academy kids and sell them on ALL coming here.

Honest question, does IMG ever lose? If so, to who? They had 5 top 100 guys last year and 7 in the top 300. For reference, the state of Ohio had 4 top 100 guys last year.

they lost a game each in 2014 and 2015
2015: 19-7 loss to American Heritage - Plantation (FL)
2014: 35-2 loss to St. John's College HS (DC)

They had two reasonably close games last year also to Paramus Catholic and Bergen Catholic from New Jersey

Cardinal Gibbons four-star athlete Daniel Wright

"I talk to [Notre Dame assistant coach Autry Denson] all the time," Wright said this past weekend at the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour stop in Miami. "We have a great relationship and I'm planning to get up there to see him soon."

"That offer was something that I had been waiting on. It's actually kind of a mission accomplished for me," Wright said.

his brother — Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Major Wright
"He said it's like a family up there," Wright said. "He actually told me that he was close to going there. So I'm going to look into especially with my friend [Notre Dame running back signee Deon McIntosh] there."

Denson does work. He's really hit the ground running and completely covered the loss of Alford, which I thought was going to be huge.

Has there been any talk by the staff about taking a center or a guard who could cross train as part of the class of '17?

Nothing that I've heard and I doubt that I'd know anything you didn't.

Center from IMG. Can't think of his name Ruiz?

Cesar Ruiz said the other day that he's been communicating with ND and that its an offer he really wants. Said that he's very serious about academics.

To NDCrusader's question, it really doesn't seem like they are going after many true OG/OC types. I'd say that Gibbons is a OG at the collegiate level and that Wyatt Davis falls into that category as well. Jedrick Willis I've read is seen as a swing player. So maybe for now they are happy with that being the board, for the most part, at OG/OC.

This seems to be the thinking. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any quote saying that they are looking for a center in this class, even if they meant they were taking a guard prospect and possibly making a center out of him down the road for a Hoge back up / replacement.

I had thought about Ruiz or maybe Santa Margarita Catholic's Brett Neilon as a target but neither had any mentions on Twitter from the recrutniks until the last couple of days.

I would throw an offer at Ruiz in a heartbeat if he's asking for it.

Ruiz has to be a heavy SCUM lean. He's best friends with all those NJ kids Harbaugh got last cycle

“I had no idea that he(denson) was from where I was from,” Greene said. “He came by IMG to see [Notre Dame signees] Spencer Perry and Tony Jones, and I just bumped into him. He said that he was from Fort Lauderdale and I was surprised. But it’s cool to see someone like him that’s where I’m from that went to the NFL.”

“An offer from Notre Dame would play a major role in my recruitment,” Greene said. “I’m wide open right now … I would highly consider Notre Dame and I would definitely take an unofficial visit there just to see what they are like and see how they could help me with my future.”

"Me and [Tony Jones] are like brothers,” Greene said when asked what it would take to get him up to Notre Dame for a visit. “I would like to see him.”

He competed in the inaugural iLLSPEED Competition Presented by Under Armour on Saturday and qualified for the finals with a time of 14.44 in a test of athletic ability and speed

I wrote Greene and CJ Cotman up a few nights ago. He's been a tOSU lean and is scheduled to visit in June. Might be a good time to get him on campus then if they want to pursue him.

There's definitely some smoke here but you'd have to ask what the roster would look like if you wanted to take him. In 2018, CJ Sanders is a senior, Greene would be a soph, ASB would be a freshman and Ali's still out there also to consider. That's a lot of 5-10 and under guys in the mix.

have never heard of it until just reading that.

https://n.rivals.com/news/img-academy-duo-impress-at-ill-speed-competition-in-orlando

Seems likes its a SPARQ-like event

Presented by Under Armour – the Illist drill in football which measures not only speed but burst, agility, dynamic reaction and footwork – took place at West Orange High School outside of Orlando, Florida with more than 20 of the fastest the area has to offer competing for a spot in the finals in Baltimore.

The test is made up of four different parts: start, dynamic reaction agility, feet and agility skill and the all-important race to the finish. Competitors got two individual runs through the drill where they began two yards behind the start line, burst out of their stance once the red light on the first gate is illuminated and then were off to the races.

After the competitor passed through the first gate, dynamic reaction was tested as they had to quickly determine which of two gates lit up and dash towards the proper gate. This showed vision, reaction time and cognitive reflexes, all important traits for any player skill position player.

After choosing the proper gate, the competitor then rounded a standing bag and then navigated the ladder drill, where footwork is a must and any slip up cost them time. After completing the ladder drill, the competitor then headed back toward the start gate where he had to grab a football in stride, turn back through the original gate and then show off his speed by racing 40 yards downfield to the finish.

I have to be honest, I don't know. Hopefully this year he gets more targets. He wasn't even the top sophomore at Mater Dei last year, I mean we are throwing his initials around like he's the next Rocket and he was the #4 WR on his team last year.

Well its because he has the best name in his family. And his pops seems to think he's the best of the 3, though that may just be a dad looking out for his son.

I find the youngest sibling is always... gonna be the best. The thinking has to do with the fact they are more developed at a younger age than their older siblings because they had the older siblings to play with and develop earlier. In the end, it all comes down to the physical skill set they have once mature and speaking of that the St. Brown's look to be shrinking. Currently, ESB = Corey Robinson... ASB = CJ Sanders

So what does that make OSB?
