Wow, Hausmann looking like a giant against Fertita. Good rep by Nicco though.

Cole Luke looks ripped too.

Sean Mele has his thoughts up from II on the blog on ISD - a great read for those who have access. Really complimentary of several players and prospects, including Nick Martin, Greg Bryant, Tillery, Hoge, Crawford, Fertitta, etc.

Are these the new public updates? No tid bits allowed at all?

Some pictures . . .

This presentation really connects on a deeper level.

Deeper than a recruit standing there smiling, sporting a jersey . . .

First things first, big thanks to Ironman and STL for all the great updates! Made last night a lot of fun to follow all the action.

So with all the info we hit yesterday, no matter the outcome, the camp seems to have been a huge success. Made a major impact on several important 16' kids and got some huge names to show up for this year. We haven't even really gotten any news on kids like Adams or Ross get either. The icing is getting to see our new prize recruit in Crawford, competing and showing out, getting all kinds of praise from everyone else in attendance. Better yet, Hilliard stayed the night and we weren't even sure if he was going to show up this time last week. Overall, I am thrilled with the product that ND is selling and each year Kelly is getting us closer to the goal. Thanks again for all the effort last night in keeping us all informed.

Absolutely! This is the kid I want starting off and representing next years class. Everything he has said thus far has been pure gold.

Loy's 'game balls':

MVP - Crawford. Loy said he's a top 50 player as far as he's concerned.

Offensive: Hoge.

Defensive: Austin Bryant.

Waiting on Hilliard obviously, but I'm interested to hear what Coney, Bryant, and Patrick say about the camp since they're all SEC/Southern guys.

That's a good question. I completely forgot about him. He is interesting indeed. Not only for his talents but I am not quite sure how he affects the scholarship chart if he goes on his mission right away?

Crawford's got great feet and hips. If he can work past his lack of height, and it's not that hard to do in college, he could be a special player. Same with Nicco - he's small but he's a feisty competitor.

Austin Roberts is a big slab of beef. Hope we land him.

Coney and Hilliard are both built like brick shithouses.

Sounding like the only disappointing thing about the camp was that there weren't enough one-on-one reps.

Was at the lineman challenge most of the day. Pretty sure I saw all 3 OL commits there. All 3 looked the part. Got to be very please with that.
On defense, Some tall athletic white dude was talking to some coaches after, I really don't know the names of the guys. Also there was this massive black dude with army coloured jersey. That guy was huge.
Wish I watched more of the battles. Unfortunately for you guys, I was more interested in walking around the campus lol.

I don't know why I always thought coach Hiestand was much taller. He's just a normal size dude. He's still the man, though.

June 20 = "Invasion" more of an "event" than camp for a lot of guys.
June 21 = I think it was a big 7on tourney.
June 22 = Lineman challenge (I think?)
June 23 = ? Think both 23rd and 24th were high school position camps of some sort.
June 24 = ?

I really like what this camp has the potential to become. Sure, I don't expect Brown to flip to us, but I expect II to grow into one of the more exciting recruiting events of the summer with kids on par with Brown committing and locking up officials to the Irish in the coming years. Kelly and Swarbrick have been just outstanding with all of the upgrades to the program. Starting to feel elite again.

I think it may show more dividends next year than this year. There were a lot more '16 and '17 kids there than I thought would be (if the lists were accurate anyways).

Lineman Challenge was also the 21st. 22-25 is designated as the high school position camp.

I agree, I've always said we need some sort of even comparable to Friday Night Lights or Dawg Night or Big House BBQ.

I think what we did this year was a great step in the right direction. Kind of like when we first started pumping in music though and went through some growing pains (ALL ABOARDDDD...) there are definitely some steps to be taken to get it to the next level. Here are some options:
1. Make it more of a social even either pre or post camp.
2. Link up with Under Armour to make it more of an epic camp event than just a couple people getting some work in. Can't do it as big as The Opening and UA already sponsors the Rivals 5-Star Challenge... and there may be some conflicts doing it on a school campus... but this is probably something you could explore.
3. Even more involvement from current players. Jaylon Smith coaching you at linebacker is awesome. I want more of that.
4. Less drills, more competition. Drills are great for the coaches to evaluate players and for the players to actually learn... but kids love to compete. More 1v1 reps, maybe some 7on or something at the end.

Just some ideas, dunno if any of them really make sense.

Didn't want to bump his thread. What's the word on Tillery's visit?

I saw on twitter he's back in LA, and with the looming concern over his committed-ness, I'd expect the reporters interviewed him.

Seeing the kids wearing such generic grey tshirts made me go SMH bigtime, they should be getting something cooler and more unique for an Notre Dame camp. Something to get the kids excited about. And its a pity the proper UA gear isnt launched before this camp so the kids could see the actual gear they will be wearing at ND.

I know ND had an inter-HS 7on7 tourney last year as the local HS in MI (Fenton) were at it. Is that scheduled again for this year or is it part of this camp?
