Stewart Mandel’s bracket out today has us as the last team in his “next four out” as well.

So this is pretty much the position we will be in headed to the ACC Tourney. Beating Pitt and losing to UVA will do nothing to help or hurt our profile.

These are the biggest bubble games for us below. I used Lunardi's bracket, and only used seeds that were 9 or lower.

2/27 Bubble Games

Tennessee at Mississippi State (-1.5) at 7:00 -- MSU is listed 4 spots above us and is in the "First Four Out"

Florida at Alabama (-1.5) at 7:00 -- Alabama is currently listed as a 9 seed

Missouri at Vanderbilt (-1.5) at 7:00 -- Missouri is currently listed as a 9 seed

Miami at UNC (-10) at 9:00 -- Miami is currenly listed as a 9 seed

Oklahoma at Baylor (-3.5) at 9:00 -- Baylor is 9 spots ahead of us and is in the "Last Four In"

Kansas State at TCU (-6.5) at 9:00 -- KSU is 14 spots ahead of us and in the "Last Four Byes"

Davidson at St. Bonaventure (-2) at 9:00 -- SB is 14 spots ahead of us and in the "Last Four Byes"

Boise State at San Diego State (-4) at 9:00 -- Boise is 2 spots ahead of us in the "Next Four Out"

Guess they'll just have to beat Virginia then...

VATech probably solidified their spot. TX probably fell off the fence. Marquette won, but still work to do.

Here's a cut/paste

https://bracketville.wordpress.com/s-curve/

Per Reddit, this has been the most accurate bracket site the last few years. Currently ND would have to jump 13 teams.

Below are two tables that display the current Seed List (at the time of publication) – a tool used for my bracket projects and by the actual Selection Committee to seed teams into the bracket.

A couple of things to note:

Teams listed in BOLD are those noted as the projected automatic conference qualifier, per how the bracket is put together.

The Seed List is not a poll. It is a ranking of teams based on the overall field at the time of publication. Whether it’s RPI, KenPom or some other metric, a variety of factors go into the Seed List at any given point in time. The Seed List reflects the 68-team field – and the Top 100 teams (at the time)

Updated: February 27, 2018 | 6:20 a.m. ET

To make it easier to follow, I didn’t use an actual “S” shape on the table; rather the highest seed on each line is to the left.

FEBRUARY 27 | 1-68
1. Virginia 2. Villanova 3. Xavier 4. Kansas
5. North Carolina 6. Duke 7. Michigan State 8. Auburn
9. Purdue 10. Cincinnati 11. Tennessee 12. Wichita State
13. West Virginia 14. Texas Tech 15. Gonzaga 16. Clemson
17. Arizona 18. Ohio State 19. Michigan 20. Kentucky
21. Rhode Island 22. Houston 23. Arkansas 24. NC State
25. Nevada 26. Virginia Tech 27. Florida 28. Butler
29. Creighton 30. Seton Hall 31. Alabama 32. TCU
33. Missouri 34. Texas AM 35. Florida State 36. Miami-FL
37. Oklahoma 38. Arizona State 39. Providence 40. Kansas State
41. Saint Mary’s 42. Mid Tennessee 43. St. Bonaventure 44. USC
45. Washington 46. Louisville 47. Syracuse 48. Loyola-CHI
49. Louisiana 50. New Mexico St
51. So Dakota St 52. Vermont 53. Murray St 54. Buffalo
55. Charleston 56. Rider 57. Bucknell 58. NC-Greensboro
59. No Kentucky 60. Montana 61. Wagner 62. NC-Asheville
63. Penn 64. FL Gulf Coast 65. Nicholls 66. UC-Irvine
67. NC A&T 68. Ark-Pine Bluff

This is where the FIRST OUT at-large teams begin. While UCLA (in this case) isn’t rated lower than Arkansas-Pine Bluff (per this update) automatic qualifiers have to be ranked within the Field of 68.

SEED LIST | 69 – 86
69. UCLA 70. Baylor 71. Texas 72. Mississippi St
73. Marquette 74. Nebraska 75. Georgia 76. LSU
77. Boise State 78. Utah 79. W. Kentucky 80. Oregon

One of CBS's take on ND's chances.

What would that discussion sound like? CBS bracket expert Jerry Palm said that Notre Dame’s bubble case “certainly is a unique circumstance.” (Notre Dame wasn’t perfect with Colson, as they lost to Ball State and Indiana.)

Palm predicted Colson’s injury wouldn’t be a big talking point when evaluating whether the Irish would reach the NCAA tournament, as he said history dictates that injuries impact seeding more so than the conversation of whether a team deserves to the in the NCAA tournament. “Here’s the thing about injuries,” Palm said. “You have to put together a résumé worth selecting regardless of your roster. Injuries come into play when it comes to seedings.”

I like having 4 Qs, but don't care for extending the 3pt line.

They should add a halftime dunk contest good for 5 points. Text your vote to a number a la American Idol

Fuck it. Let's just play some Slamball then have the team captains climb the Aggro Crag.

Anyone got any ideas?

Florida and OU I think. They both seem much safer bets to make it.

I would agree. Plus, Alabama is at Texas A&M next game. Baylor is at Kansas State. So, them losing would really put the pressure on the next games, which they would be the underdog in.

Anyone got any ideas?

TN over Miss St - TN is going to make it regardless so need them to take out Miss St.

FL over Bama - Bama has a 500 conf record so a Bama loss probably pushes them out.

OK over Baylor - Both have losing conf records and close overall records. OK sitting better right now, but both teams could get pushed out. You can push for OK to eliminate Baylor, or Hope that Baylor wins and loses later (to push both out)... It will take more to push OK out, so might be safer hoping for Baylor to get eliminated.

Vandy over Missouri. Vandy is already eliminated to so it's an easy call.

NC over Miami - I think Miami is in regardless, but a loss here and against VT this weekend drops them to 500.

TCU over KSU - both have similar records but TCU is sitting at 500 conf. A loss probably kills TCU's chances and a win probably put them on the bubble. Is that enough to knock KSU off though?

StBon and Dav is a toss up. Either could end up winning the A10 Tourney, but StBon could end up getting an at large bid (as could RI if they don't win the tourney). Davidson winning could put them on the bubble....

Definitely SDSt over BoiseSt..

Sooooo..

That video they just put out on Bonzie’s return sure doesn’t make it seem like this is some token start to end the season.
