two tourney wins might get us in depending on how other bubble teams do. I think it would taking us going 3-0 and then 3 tourney wins. I just don't have a lot of faith in the selection committee.... We also need to cheer for some of the teams on our past schedule. First things first. Let's go 3-0. If we're 2-0, that VA game will be killer fun to watch.

Exactly and I looked and the game isn’t even on TV so that’s great. Gonna have to watch on WatchESPN

If you’re in ACC country or in the northeast, they’ll sometimes have a good ACC Network game on a local channel. In Boston, they’ll have ACC games on ABC or another random smaller local channel.

Watchespn is great. I watch basically every game using that. Get a Chromecast and you can watch the games on your tv instead of phone.

or Amazon Fire Stick (or Apple TV). AMZ FS is cheap, and it will be there in two days if you order now lol. (or you can pick one up at BB or Walmart). If you have Prime, it's a no brainer. I've had all three (AMZ FS, ApTV, and CC). AMZ FS is what I prefer and use.

If you have the patience for tech stuff, look into Kodi. I can find just about anything I want.

I don't think smart tvs have the app on them. You'll need to get a streaming device or you might be able to mirror your phone. What kind of phone and tv do you have?

You need a connection device Roku, Firestick, etc, with the app as several people have mentioned.

You can also connect your laptop to TV via HDMI cable.

Some do. I know some Samsung models have it. It's easier though IMO to get a device and run everything through it. Smart TVs are great if all you do is Netflix.

Newer Samsungs supposedly have it. I got mine August 2016 and there are about 100 apps availablel with none of them being watchESPN.

One thing I did just try was go to espn in the browser on my TV, click on watch, then enter my provider information. Looks like you'd be able to access games that way if you aren't wanting to buy another device. You are able to enter full screen and while the quality wasn't perfect, it will be better than watching on a phone.

what kind of TV did you buy? some of the vizio's (vizio is the biggest seller) have built in smart cast (same as chromecast). it's very easy to cast from google browser (on your pc / laptop / tablet) if that's what you have.

My smart tv is a Samsung. It's not a big deal for me to have watchespn on that one, I have another tv mounted right next to the Samsung that has a Chromecast. I was just pointing out it could be done using the browser so golden isn't staring at his phone.

Bonzie out this next game. Seems like it will be a game-time decision for Pitt.

I bought a 70 inch VIZIO and I have an iPhone

Just did some googling... looks like just about all new Vizios (P, M, and E series) have Smartcast....

Vizio's site lists WatchESPN as castable.

You may have to download the Chromecast or Smartcast app on your Iphone.

I just checked NY's local broadcast for this Saturday's game (same "ACC Network Extra" broadcast as the VA game) as well as next Saturday's game. You'll get both games on MyTV (56.3 local). It's very likely your cable package has MyTV too. If not, break out the rabbit ears.

Here's a good sight to check going forward....

https://247sports.com/Article/Cautious-With-Bonzie-Colson-115370624

Brey affords the same distinction to senior Bonzie Colson…most of the time.

When it comes to allowing Colson to return to action after missing 14 games with a broken foot, Brey’s leash is quite a bit shorter. Brey’s big-picture outlook with Colson’s professional future in mind is equipped with reins.

With Colson returning to practice Thursday and the Irish (16-12, 6-9) clinging to an ever-so-slight chance of reaching the .500 mark in ACC play with three games to go, Brey was asked how much he would trust Colson’s judgment that he’ll be ready for the Demon Deacons Saturday.

I won’t trust his judgment,” said Brey, “I’m not going to trust his judgment at all.

“He would have to really show something Thursday and Friday. I’ve got an open mind. Show me. I’ve got an open mind. But I just don’t know if that would be smart.”

Colson suffered a broken left fifth metatarsal on Friday, Dec. 29, the say before the Irish opened ACC play against Georgia Tech in Purcell Pavilion. Colson played the next day against the Yellow Jackets, scoring 22 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in the nine-point victory.

The day after the ACC-opening win, Colson’s foot finally reacted to the injury, and surgery was conducted on Jan. 4.

When Colson steps on the court for practice Thursday, it will be exactly seven weeks since his surgery. Colson has quietly been pointing to Saturday’s Wake Forest game for his return. Next Wednesday, Feb. 28 against Pittsburgh, however, would be one day shy of the original eight-week projection.

It would be energizing for us if Bonzie is back for at least half a practice Thursday,” Brey said. “That’s what we’re going to try. That would probably be energizing for everybody, especially for the seniors, to see him back in practice.

But I don’t think he’s going to be ready to play (vs. Wake Forest) after two semi-days of practice. Pittsburgh’s realistic, depending upon how he reacts. That’s a positive. We need him back.”

Brey has said from the outset of the injury diagnosis that Colson’s future in the NBA – being 100 percent fit for the May 16 NBA Combine – would take precedent, even if the Irish were in the midst of an NCAA-tournament-bid run. Brey wants what’s best for Colson, including an appropriate farewell sendoff from the Notre Dame faithful.

I want him to get to play some this year,” said Brey, who allowed Colson to dress for Monday's game against Miami. “I don’t know what tournament we’re going to. I just want him to get to play some before his senior year ends.”

So barring a setback later this week, look for Colson to return, but probably not until the home finale with another must-win road trip to Winston-Salem up first.

“(Strength and conditioning coach) Tony (Rolinski) did a great job (with Colson) on the bike and treadmill, but it’s just not the same (as practice),” Brey said. “I’m interested to see him go five-on-five Thursday and see where he’s at. Can he move, is he sheepish to go rebound in traffic?

“Knowing him, he won’t be and that’s what worries me about bringing him back too soon. He only knows one way to play. So it will be a positive to have him back in practice.”

A positive the Irish sure could use right about now.

This a terrible defensive game plan. Are we really that scared of playing Wake man that we’ve played zone the entire game? Yea, yea, some rest on D, but we aren’t good enough offensively this year to let a team get wide open shots all game.

Jesus, never mind. If that’s how we are going to play man, go back to a shitty zone.

Going to miss Geben next year. It’s a shame we wasted a year on him early on.
