Whoa, just watched his HUDL tape and WANT!!!!!

Someone report back some great news like an official is being set-up or something.

Remember when Kelly talked about how we haven't really had a guy who could cut at fullspeed until Isaiah err.... CJ Sanders? This is what he meant. Watch his video and see him turn defenders at full speed. I would love to have this guy running out of the backfield with Tony Jones Jr. splitting rep.s

Make this happen staff. Make it happen.

supposedly 100% committed to miami...although who knows what a coaching change could potentially do

Just updated the OP. I guessed on our total amount of spots available. If someone could give me the ACTUAL estimated number of spots in this class, that would be great!

Gimme Sanders. Would love to rub that in the face of my Pitt and PSU roommates.

Why hasn't he been offered yet? Are academics also an issue there?

Miles Sanders is the composite #2 RB in the nation and we're just now offering. Is there any legitimate interest?!?

The young man has great balance:

Click this for Miles Sanders highlights.

we kicked the tires before early on and there wasn't much traction at all...he has actually been one of the big recruiters for psu...i know we have had our fair share of them that flipped but he is on campus a ton!! i believe he has been to all the games this year thus far...

PSU has a freshman back that is killing it this year. They are also big favorites for D'Andre Swift next year (consensus 5 star), so maybe he is taking a step back to look at other options.

Got a little info on a possible PWO QB from where else... SoCal. Dakota Miller is a 6-1, 3 star (247) DT/Pro (depending on who you talk to) QB that performed very well over the summer. I don't remember which competition it was but he was a top QB here at one of the big 7v7 tourneys and finished in the top 5 of the Elite 11 LA. He currently has offers from FCS Northern Arizona and current 4x National Champs, North Dakota St. He's hearing from Washington and Boise as well as Coach Sanford and ND. He is a teammate of former ND target and now BYU commit, Troy Warner at Mission Hills HS in San Marcos (SD Co). He was injured last weekend, don't know how badly but if it's of any duration, it will hurt him on the FBS front and it may open up the possibility of going to ND as a PWO. That's what i was told at least.

Here's his profile:

Dakota Miller, Mission Hills, Pro-Style Quarterback

Also... while looking up Dakota Miller's profile, I ran across another QB listed as an interest on Rivals and I couldn't help but to pass this on...

https://rivals.yahoo.com/al/footbal...a-Murphy-153375?colleges=show#college_choices

Montana Murphy. You can't make that up! I didn't bother looking up anything about him other than noticing he's from Southlake Carroll which is a Top 10 type Texas program.

I have no idea if there's any communication but I'm gonna guess with a name like that, he's plenty interested.

Talk about a great name for a South Bend sports bar...

Heck he didn't impress me at all. He's 7 foot 440lbs but pure fat - no muscle on him at all. The small guys were standing him up. Grant it that he is just a gap stuffer but he didn't look anything like a kid I would care to offer/recruit.

Using Beau's OP as a guide here. Is 23 spots assuming only current scholarship seniors on the team leave? I haven't seen posted anywhere recently the expected class size, so I will continue under the assumption of 14/23 filled. Leaves 9 spots left in the class. I created a list of "most likely" additions using recruits listed as "HIGH" in the OP. I also included Hansford as the recent news after his visit looks good for ND. That is 7 more to the class, leaving 2. RB and receiver would likely be done (unless we pass on alloway and take some unknown stud down the road). TE & OL likely done. Depending if Jamir is OLB vs DE those may be done with addition of Hansford. DB recruiting could be finished (6 total recruits if this list stood).

Biggest needs would be DT and DE.

I think our class would be looking really nice with the addition of those 7.

Niko Lalos visited Notre Dame for the UMass game.

Notre Dame isn't planning to sign a tight end this recruiting cycle, but just because the Irish are electing to pass on the position, doesn't mean they aren't trying to lure an FBS talent to campus.

This past weekend, the Irish offered Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St. Mary tight end Niko Lalos a preferred walk-on spot at Notre Dame.

Lalos, who holds offers from Army, Princeton, Dartmouth, Akron, Kent State and Brown, was on campus for the UMass game on Saturday. He said that he had a chance to talk with the coaches and meet former walk-on Joe Schmidt, who had a message for him.

"I'm definitely interested in Notre Dame and walking on, because after the game I had a chance to talk with Joe Schmidt and some of the freshmen walk-ons," Lalos said. "[Schmidt] was just telling me how hard it is, but how it's worth it in the long run. It seems like a good opportunity so I just want to look around and see how things go."

Lalos is listed as a linebacker and is being recruited by some schools to play in the box as a standup defensive end, but he said that Notre Dame likes him on offensive side of the ball as a tight end.

"When I got there for the visit I talked with [tight ends coach] Scott Booker and [director of player personnel] Dave Peloquin. I went into Peloquin's office and he told me that they were offering me a spot as a proffered walk-on tight end. He said that they have so many tight ends, and they don't plan on any leaving, but if something changes, they could offer a scholarship depending on how things go, because you just never know," Lalos said.

While Lalos admits that he was excited to learn that he has a spot waiting for him in South Bend, he says that a difficult decision could be on the horizon, and that's where Schmidt's words of advice could pay off for the Irish in the long run. The former walk-on from Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, Calif., turned down scholarship offers from Air Force and Cincinnati to play at Notre Dame.

Lalos said that he's considering following the same path after chatting with Schmidt.

"My parents like Notre Dame, because it's kind of just the same as an Ivy League offer, because they don't give athletic scholarships. It's just that like the football at Notre Dame is a little bit better," Lalos said. "I'm not saying that Ivy League football can't compete or anything like that but more that Notre Dame just has good academics and football."

The 6-5, 230-pound Lalos said that he plans to visit Army and a few different Ivy League schools in the coming months. He added that he'll likely return to Notre Dame later in the season for another unofficial visit and plans to keep in contact with the coaching staff.

He was named to cleveland.com's list of the top 11 defensive lineman in Northeast Ohio back in August.

Per BGI, a name to know at RB is McAllen (Texas) Memorial three-star Trevor Speights, who holds offers from Stanford, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
