Koon any new squad members?

Not in that group. Is that Grace on the right? I expected him to look stronger than that.

Did I miss the memo? White mid calf's are back in or are they still taped from morning practice?

A few years ago it was black mids. Now the style is any mid, but white if you're really cool.

I think Cierre Wood was a better RB than Theo Riddick. That's my opinion. I think their careers point that being the case, but that's my opinion.

Lol, relax man. It's just the best example I have of a sports fan using the 'and it's not even close' inaccuracy. If anything, it's not even close that Theo was better than Cierre, but I don't think that was the case. IMO, Theo was better, but it was somewhat close.

God I love this site. But really Theo seemed to be a much better college athlete than wood. Athlete maybe not but college, come on. The kid was a mess at times

I think Junior Jabbie was better than both, but what do I know?

You Are a Hater Just for Reading This Headline: The Curious State of Notre Dame Football «

But the place to train your eyes will be the linebacking corps, returning five of six members who recorded a tackle for the Irish in 2014. The guy roaming around with the assured grace of an apex predator is Jaylon Smith, who led the unit in tackles in 2014. Joe Schmidt, the former walk-on who rose to become a starter, returns from a broken ankle sustained against Navy. Schmidt is one of those guys with a natural gift for stage-managing a defense while the game is in progress; by midseason last year, Smith had become his lieutenant for on-field adjustments. The prospect of both of them getting to play a full season together is pretty swell, if you’re into cerebral malice.

So by that totally infallible science, our courses are set just by looking at the roster, and the schedule, and making the educated guess that there’s no way the Irish get left out of next week’s AP poll, right? If you’re a Fighting Irish hater, time to sharpen your fangs and howl at what you view as the perpetual glow of expectation surrounding the program, all the while bracing yourself for a potential playoff run! If you’re a Notre Dame diehard, and you’re superstitious, it’s time to get nervous, because it looks like they’re going to be a very good football team, which is where things sometimes start to get weird.

Something that no one brought up was how fun it was to say "Huuuuuuuuuuuughes" from the stands whenever he even looked at the ball. That's pretty important stuff. I'm hoping maybe we'll hear some "E-QQQQQQQQ" this year.

Is Onowala going through camp as the team's enigma again? IDK how he was a non-OL starter last year and was never notice - good or bad. That's hard to pull off, lol. Is he stepping it up this year? Any word?

Early returns are he's one of 3 starting LB's in our base 4-3. His added size and strength are helping and he's kept his athleticism. I'd really like to hear of Schmidt at Will and Morgan at Mike and then be able to compare which group performs better.
