The Chargers would probably have loved to have seen La'el Collins drop this far with his flexibility to play Tackle and Guard. Interior OL has been a problem for the Bolts and they would love to add a really solid player to the mix there. With the likes AJ Cann and Laken Tomlinson most likely available in the 2nd/3rd rounds the Chargers are going to spin the wheel on a huge boom or bust prospect in Dorial Green Beckham, WR, Missouri.

With Eddie Royal having left in free agency the Bolts lack a true WR1 so they will hope Green Beckham can pick up a good work ethic and stay out of trouble under the supervision of the likes of Antonio Gates and Phillip Rivers.

With the 18th pick the Kansas City Chiefs select Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State. The Chiefs look to bolster their receiver group after adding Jeremy Maclin. Devin Smith provides a deep threat that the Chiefs have lacked for some time.

Definitely an interesting pick, with Jaelen Strong still on the board.

Smith and Maclin would be awesome for a big armed QB alright, not sure if Smith is the right guy for that though

Eh. He is a late first early second round pick imo. He has been marked as high as 15 overall 3rd receiver behind Cooper and White. Probably wouldn't be available for them at 49.

Also, just the threat having him on the field could pull people from the box and give Jamal Charles some better looks. This would be more of a projection pick, as I don't think you bank on Alex Smith being the long term option at QB.

With the 19th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the Cleveland Browns select.......Breshad Perriman WR, University of Central Florida
os-breshad-perriman-nfl-grade

Perriman is a freak. Surviving past Green-Beckham and Devin Smith makes Perriman the steal of this mock draft. While he is the the exact player the Browns need and a great value pick at this spot there is about 0.05% Ray Farmer would actually select WR in this spot. Regardless in my world the Browns sprint to the podium to pick Perriman if he is somehow available at 19 come April 30th.

With the 20th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the Philadelphia Eagles select T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh.

The Eagles released aging RG Todd Herremans and have two aging OL in Evan Mathis and Jason Peters. What I like the most about Clemmings is his athleticism which is needed in Chip Kelly's offense and his versatility to play inside and outside. Clemmings can come in a compete for the starting RG spot right away and possibly move to LT when Jason Peters is gone. With so much invested in the RB position with Demarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, and Darren Sproles, the Eagles need to sure up their OL for the future and they do that with this pick. Also under consideration for this pick were Landon Collins, Kevin Johnson, Marcus Peters, Jaelen Strong, and Nelson Agholor.

With the 21st pick in the 2015 Irish Envy NFL Mock Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select:

Landon Collins, S, Alabama.

The Bengals would have gone DE (probably Bud Dupree) at this pick if it weren't for re-signing Michael Johnson. They also would think long and hard about an offensive tackle... however, in the end, it was time to address the safety position in a big way.

George Iloka has gotten much better as a SS over the past two years, and Reggie Nelson has FS on lock. However, Nelson may be gone after next season, and will start showing signs of wear-and-tear at any moment. By adding Collins, the Bengals add a safety that provides instant competition, as well as a guy that will excel in their attack-oriented defense. His ability to play strong in the box will be great for a defense that loves to have their safeties mix it up near the LOS.

The Bengals utilize a system in which the safeties are essentially interchangeable, so whenever Nelson wears down and/or leaves in free agency, Iloka can slide over to FS and Collins can take charge at SS. If Nelson stays healthy and sticks around, Collins should have no problem surpassing Iloka for starting duties.

With the 22nd Pick the Steelers take KEVIN JOHNSON,CB WAKE FOREST. That pass defense has been horrible as of late, mainly because Ike Taylor couldn't catch a cold if it hit him in the face. Really wanted to go with Alvin Dupree, but they have bolstered up the front 7 the last few years. Liked Marcus Peters too, but he may be a head case. KJ may be the best cover corner in the draft.

Arik will be a top 20 pick, I guarantee that.

Out of the 6 mocks on NFL.com, every one has AA going in the first. His high is #15, low is #26. Majority have him slotted 15th to Niners.

Damn didn't think he moved up that much. He definitely has that type of physical talent, I just didn't see him as that type of player this past year.

Peter King (and I think McShay) didn't have him in their first round.

With the 23rd pick in the draft the Detroit Lions select DJ Humphries OT from Florida. Lions could have went secondary here but instead choose to strengthen their offensive line to protect Stafford. Humphries is a possible left tackle that would allow them to possibly slide Reiff to right tackle.

With the 24th pick the Arizona Cardinals select Jalen Collins, CB Louisiana State University

APTOPIX-South-Carolin_Shum.jpg

Bruce Arians' said the the team was going to look to add a cornerback to the roster through the draft and Collins fits the Cardinals defense well. He is a long corner who will be able to slide into the spot Antonio Cromartie left vacant. He will take the field with other former to LSU stars Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu.

Happy Easter to everyone. Just got home from church sorry about the lateness.

With the 25th pick in the draft the Carolina Panthers select Marcus Peters, defensive back from Washington.

With glaring needs on the O line, pass rushing, and the secondary I thought it best to go with the best player available imo at these three areas.

Yes, he has off the field issues for sure, but the film does not lie. This kid would possibly be a top 10 or 15 pick were it not for the off the field issues and a few years ago my mentality would be not to touch him. However, after watching the way janoris jenkins has played out for the rams, with similar issues, I think you got to take a risk here. Put this kid on the field with maybe the best leader on the defensive side of the ball in the league (Kuechley) and I think he'll thive.

Peters has the best ball skills in the draft imo at the position and his size and ability to play bump and run make him a perfect fit for the Carolina system.

if he can keep his act clean he'll be a steal this late in the 1st round

He is the best corner in the draft from a pure football stand point.
