I'm shocked by this actually. It might be too early to know if he will actually ever get defensive snaps in a game, or if he will revert back to practice squad-special teams duty, but if he ends up having a similar impact as Schmidt... then it came out of nowhere.

I mean... admit it, fellas.... there has to be at least a few of you that didn't even know this guy was on the roster. amirite?

I had no clue there was a Larkin on the squad lol. I've got the scholarship players down to a science, but the walk-ons are beyond my skills.

And the conspiracy theorist in me says that BVG might be using Schmidt/Larkin to motivate Deeb, and also as a place holder so Nyles Morgan can come in and take the job right away.

The good news is that Massa and Kinlaw freed up two more scholarships for this relatively small class, making it less difficult to manage as player's commit.

The downside is that I was a big Kinlaw fan. I expected him to have an emergence soon. He is a fast twitch athlete that looked built for punt return, secondary, etc. He was explosive but apparently didn't have any interest in competing for a spot at ND.

Massa wouldn't have a freed up a spot, but I know what you mean.

That strikes me as fairly plausible. Kinda like feigning as if Kona was gonna be the #1 NT over Nix last spring.

THAT'S ALL FOLKS
Well I guess it's time to scour the UCLA roster of incoming Freshman that Kelly & Co. can cherry-pick for the final two spots.

It may be impossible for us to maintain a full 85 man roster each year. Between transfers, suspensions, last minute defections, academics, and who knows what else...

If we are able to stay within 2-3 of the 85 man limit with appropriate numbers at each position, I'll be happy. It's been a long time since we've had a complete roster. This year is as close as we've been. The one area we need to work on is more bodies in the front 7 but this is as complete a roster as I can remember.

Yes and no, none of them have done anything on a college football field that gives me regret. Were they all good to great recruits, yes. However, none have produced since leaving. With that said I think Davonte will kill it at Arz. with Rich Rod.

this makes me think he just wasn't giving any effort, skipping meetings, being late to practice or sth along those lines.

No, I don't think you list results in dismissal. If it gets bad enough, I think Kelly has the wherewithal to make the player quit. To transfer out.

I think this was something that Kinlaw did that was in direct violation of team rules and was significant enough, or repeat behavior.

I think his "I have no idea if he is still enrolled" statement is a pretty significant hint from Kelly that it was pretty big, and not going to be tolerated. I read his statement as meaning that the question is irrelevant.

Yeah, it is absolutely impossible as long as we keep recruiting to 85. Even if we hit 85 (rare), every team almost always loses 1-2 (sometimes 3-6) guys at minimum to spring ball attrition. The most common transfer time is during and following spring ball.

Thanks for posting.

- C Rob runs really good routes for how tall he is.

- The more I see Fuller, the more he looks like TJ.

- Bryant and Carlisle are both going to be good.

- Whatever Colinsworth was doing when Koyac toasted him, I hope he never does again, lol.

- Golson looking good.

I will go crazy if Bryant and Folston don't get most of the carries. No excuses on offense these are all Kelly's guys now it's time to see that high powered offense we expected.

Bryant looks so good and fast that it's almost an unfair advantage.

The double moves I saw a couple of the receivers put on looked deadly.

I love some of the new facets on D drills I'm seeing.

I am really frigging pumped.

Yeah, we're all high on Bryant and rightfully so, but in the spring videos Folston has looked GREAT in his routes IMO. Even better than Bryant.
