Some reports saying a couple teams even love Hundley from UCLA.

This is really an easy decision for the Rams as they need not a QB (Bradford will get one more chance, probably take a QB in the middle rounds) or Clowney (Long and Quinn).

Trade a couple picks down and probably still get Matthews from TAMU

Basically, it will be RGIII round 2 and they'll get a king's ransom for the pick. Either established players or picks or a combo. I doubt anyone makes the same mistake as the Redskins though and gives up that many first rounders...

Or at least he can hope not. They should see how it hurt the skins

Is it a lock that Manziel is declaring or are the analysts just giving themselves another reason to talk about Johnny Football?

“@AdamSchefter: Texans owner Bob McNair said Houston is willing to trade No. 1 overall pick so it can land another QB and a defensive player as well.”

And somewhere Al Davis is calling McNair a pussy. Good move potentially.

I can see Cleveland trading up to #1 to take Bridgewater. Him throwing to Gordon would be a nice prospect.

Unless you have a HR QB, and I mean HR, like Manning or something, I would always trade out of the first slot... multiple first round picks>>top overall picks much more often than not.

In this QB class, definitely. Maybe, Clowney would be worth keeping the first pick. Then again, you could probably get your team in a much better position with multiple quality picks.

They won't trade the 1st pick. They will take the closest thing to a surefire lock at QB in Bridgewater, and they can build the defense (which is already pretty good) in the later rounds.

I'm guessing someone will create a new thread for this when ESPN picks up the story, but per the Dan Patrick Show, the NFL will add a wild card team in each conference next season.

If the Texans can get a trade done where they can land Clowney and one of 3 QB's who are expected to get first round grades.....they hit a a HR

I would love to see Tuitt in Chicago. Also have a hard time seeing Nix drop to late 1st round. Definitely want to see us get one guy in the top 10 and either Nix or Tuitt at 14 to my Bears would seem like a good pick to me.

I agree that we could see quite a run on QBs, Bears locking down Cutler (while I don't like it) puts them in position to trade for someone looking to get in on the QB derby.

I really don't like this. The NFL playoffs are so strong due to the limited numbers IMO. We don't need any more 9-7 teams in the playoffs. Sure, the Cardinals were a rare 10-win team that didn't make it, but why should the Steelers or Ravens or Dolphins get in the playoffs? I assume this wild card team would play the #2 seed and they would no longer have a bye?

I can't see the Steelers passing on a nose tackle. They lack cap space to find one on the FA market and desperately need to shore up their middle. I think Louis is their man (if still available) barring a fall in his draft stock from the combine or knee issues.

EDIT: and the Bears are in desperate need at DE. Whether Tuitt is an option for then will depend on the system they plan to run going forward.

My prediction:

7. Tampa Bay - Nix
13. Rams - Martin (this is assuming they take Clowney at #2 instead of Matthews)
14. Bears - Tuitt

Don't see that happening

I thought it was a little bit of a reach too, but they need guys that will open up lanes for Stacy and I think he'd be a good fit. Also possible at the Phins @ 19 or Cards @ 20.

Neither do I. If Sammy Watkins is still available at #7 he's a Buc. I do think Martin goes 1st round. Someone is going to fall in love with the guy much like the Giants did with Justin Pugh last year. Probably in the 20-25 range. Tuitt in my mind is a top 15 guy. Won't get past Bears or Steelers. Nix is the hard one to peg. Definite 1st rounder but with NT's you never know where they may land. Some teams don't place a high priority on NT's in this day and age of spread offenses but Nix is the exception.

I know I am 4 months early but I would love to do a 3-4 round mock where each person picks a team and drafts for them.
