I think Lebron either goes to Cleveland or restructures and stays with the Heat to bring in more role players. I think Melo goes to the Rockets or Bulls, personally id like to see him stay in the east with the Bulls

LeBron opting out becomes a story when Bosh opts in.

Smart move for LeBron and the Heat. Gives them the ability to restructure and work with numbers.

If I'm Lebron I go somewhere else if my goal is to win championships. Wade is deteriorating quickly. Bosh disappears too often.

LeBron did what he wanted with the Heat. Would be nice to see him go somewhere else.

just dont see him going anywhere. even if dwade isnt what he once was he doesnt have to be some stud. Lebron is always going to compete for championships. that simple. (i am by no means a lebron fan, its just the truth)

What team has the young talent that Cleveland has with the ability to sign 2 max contract guys? It just makes too much sense for LBJ to come home. His wife and kids love it here, the children are already reenrolled in Akron schools. The heat are aging and Arison has shown no willingness to go deep into the luxury tax, Gilbert will pay whatever it takes.

I actually do think Cleveland is a very attraction destination.

Kyrie + Lebron + Max player + T. Thompson + Waiters + #1 pick etc.... is pretty good.

Also add Bennet ik most people are writing him off already but he was coming on at the end of the season and I think Lebron would do wonders for his development. Plus being 100% in shape this season.

I agree I think it's Cleveland or Miami. There is no way he's going to the western conference, there is just no reason to make it that much more difficult on himself, the east is garbage. He isn't going to Chicago to be playing in the shadow of MJ. NY? I don't see that either.

LeBron has to do Miami or Cleveland. Can't be one of those guys always jumping from city to city. Kills the legacy IMO.

Lot of folks remain skeptical of the Cavs coaching hire but I think the Lue/Blatt hire is fantastic and it will pay great dividends. That should be an attraction in my opinion regardless of NBA experience.

And for what it is worth, it should be Bosh and Wade that takes massive pay cuts to keep the Heats competitive with financial flexibility. Not a LeBron fan but he is still worth the max contract and more.

Miami is still the most attractive place because it's Miami. This is just pressuring Wade and Bosh to opt out and take less money so they can sign some actual role players.

Cleveland has yet to prove anything. LeBron will want to play with vets. He doesn't want to waste his prime years with young inexperienced guys. Houston is his best option outside of Miami assuming they can unload Asik and Lin, but Miami is too good of a destination. He lives there, he's got a great coach and GM, and his friends are there. Bosh and Wade will take less and the Heat will sign a good center and get some better shooters.

So you are Pat Riley. Would you rather:

A) sign Wade for $12 million
B) sign Melo for $20 million

C) drink Hemlock because you are Pat Riley

LBJs childhood best friend who is basically his brother, and was his high school teammate played for Blatt in Europe. So the idea that I have heard in ESPN that Lebron has no idea who Blatt is is stupid.

The Cavs could sign two vets. If they where to trade the #1 pick for Love they could still sign Melo. It's super unlikely but it would alleviate the issue of not having veterans.

Knicks and Mavs are on the verge of a big deal.

Tyson Chandler and Ray Felton for

Sam Dalembert, Jose Calderon, Shane Larkin, Wayne Ellington, and two 2nd rounders this year

Sure the Cavs could sign 2 max players which is fine...Then they'll have significant salary cap issues 2 yrs from now when Kyrie becomes a free agent, since I'm very sure he'll be a max deal kind of player. Add to that, all those other top picks are going to be coming off of their rookie contracts in the years to follow, and they're going to have to get paid more than what they are getting now. Best bet would be getting Lebron and a capable, proven veteran rather than two max players.

Houston doesn't make sense because they would literally have to gut their roster to even create a significant amount of cap to offer a measly 16mil, roughly a $7 million dollars less than what he was scheduled to make in the upcoming season. That and I don't see how they are a much better team signing melo and possibly having to get rid of Asik, Lin, and possibly Parsons...

I could be wrong but I thought you can always go over the cap to resign your own players. That's why the Lakers total salary was always really high. So they could resign Kyrie to a max deal no problem.

Could be totally wrong though.

Pretty sure you're correct on that, but it still leaves you with the dilemma of adding key pieces to the roster if some of those recent high draft picks don't pan out. My thing would be for LeBron to go to a situation where financially the situation in a couple years' time would be no different from Miami's isn't necessarily attractive in my opinion. I do recognize that the key difference in this situation is the age of the rosters would significantly tip the scales in the favor of Cleveland

Yeah I'm trying to find a reason to dislike it but I can't. Calderon being on the books long term is about the only thing that bothers me but if either Larkin or 1 of these 2nd rounders pan out that's more than worth it considering we get rid of Felton.

I'm just a casual basketball fan but wouldn't the Bulls make some sense for Lebron, assuming Rose is healthy? Rose, Butler, James, Gibson and Noah would play some serious defense with Thibodeau.

Would make sense except why would you play for Jordan's team if all you ever do is get compared to Jordan. But maybe he doesn't care about being the best ever.
