Notre Dame offered one of the top WRs in the country Allen Lazard from Iowa. He's a soft ISU commit.

He's one of the best, he's Rivals #1 actually. He has great size and used his size really well. Maybe the top downfield threat in the country.

Really? I didn't know. He lists a 4.74 40 on espn, so I didn't expect him to be a down the field threat. Big body, though.

His offer list isn't impressive and his commitment to Iowa State? Weird.

Josh Helmholdt thinks we stand a good chance to get a OV, obviously Bob Elliott is his recruiter.

Nic Weishar said in a 247 article ND is having a big barbecue the weekend of June 20th. Sounds like they are trying to replicate Friday Night Lights, BBQ at The Big House, Dawg Nights etc.

Can someone explain to me why the staff is only planning to take 1-2 DEs and 1-2 DT? Seems to me they'd take as many as 4+ w/o question this cycle. There's potential to lose all of Nix, Tuitt, Stockton, Kona, Utupo and now EV (from the sound of the reports). Not only is the DL becoming thin, but it's also losing a lot of star power. Day will be the only proven commodity returning. Hounshell is injury-prone. Tony is serviceable but has yet to show he's an elite DL. You're basically left with a lot of raw individuals who need time to develop. This concerns me because the front seven is what made this defense so elite.

I hope this gets addressed this cycle.

I agree but I see Ishaq and Romeo at DE and in 14 we got Hayes, Trumbetti and feel we get Williams and outgrows Cat like Romeo. With that said I feel Frazier is a huge difference maker. If we could line up EV and Frazier in the middle and Rochell and Day on the outside....Yikes!

While I would love to have EV and Frazier, it sounds like the chances of that happening are about the same as me destroying Kate Upton (in a good way).

Thanks for maintaining the list!

Just one nitpick (sorry), I think you're missing Weishar on the commit list.

Very odd to see predictions for these guys so early. Only one I have heard much about is Beneventi.

Fruhmorgen said his dream schools are ND and Bama. No offer from either yet.

Rosene is Dawkins' teammate and we were his first offer

Tillery has ND as his childhood favorite, parents like ND too

All Top 247 guys for 2015

Thanks that good info. Been trying to dig it up myself, but you beat me to it. I like the way we are trending with being high on lists early.

3 of the 4 are Oline men, how many will we take next year?

I think it will depend on how the 2013 class progresses and if we get another on the line for 2014. I would guess right now that 3 would be a good number to look at.

Hard to say. Predicting 5Ys is tough enough one year out; two years out is damned near impossible. We took 2 OL in 2012, 5 in 2013, and I assume we'll end with 5 in this cycle; that's 12.

Looking at the 2011 class, if all three of Hegarty, Hanratty, and N. Martin get 5Ys, we'll be at 15, which will probably limit us to 2-3 OL recruits. If none of them gets a 5Y, we could bring in another class of 5-6. I'll split the two and guess 4, but it's total speculation at this point.

Offered a VA DT Derrick Nnadi. Rankings look right but I can't look at much else while I'm in the car

Nnadi is an Ian Williams sized player with probably more athleticism. Naturally UVA and VT would want to duke it out for him. But he has blown up in camps recently and is catching all sorts of attention. Maybe the fact that he's getting offers from long distance will expand his horizons. Urban offered not long ago as did, I believe, Florida. He acknowledged our offer but misspelled "Norte Dame", so we have a lot of work to do. I sense no necessary urge to just stay in state though.

No lie. London better get something done this year though.

Don't count on it.

And STL I know that stuff but I'm also hearing that he has legitimate interest in Tech and that London and his BS is wearing this on the nice folks in the beach. UVA's hold on this kid isn't what you would normally think. Again, this from Tech boards so it might biased but that's what I'm reading.
