personally i think CW's ( third one down i think) prediction is pretty spot on and a good reflection of my thoughts about the up coming season.

I'm trying to figure out our toughest games, and I can't determine a prediction. But it dawned on me that I'm sick in the head with hate for Michigan, because I discovered that I'd rather lose to USC than Michigan this year.

I think after week 2 we'll know all we need to know about our offense to know if we're for real or not this year. If we move the ball against Michigan, I have very high expectations. Really not concerned about the defense.

This is exactly what I think happens. Our defense will be just as good or more likely better than last year due to improvements in the secondary. And our skill positions on offense, while they lack experience, are very talented. I see Bryant and Carlisle eventually emerging as our 1-2 punch with Atkinson serving a similar role to last year though I think he will be more involved. Our offensive line will be much improved so we will be simply able to run over teams with weaker front sevens. I also think TJ, Davaris, Chris Brown and CJ with Amir rotating in has potential to be a pretty damn good receiving core.

That's a good point. Their schedule leading up to the game is worse than ours.

I can understand where you're coming from, but if you're feeling at least 2 losses, ASU seems like the most likely to surprise us. Every other team on our schedule has at least one major weakness.

Arizona State is the perfect trap game. It's sandwiched between two of the biggest games on our schedule.

ASU does have a pretty tough schedule. I think they'll be a much better team than their final record indicates though. Their 3-game stretch leading up to us is a big reason I think we win, but this game scares the crap out of me regardless.

What I don't get is that everyone thinks, for the most part, that we will be better this year in all phases of the game. So if we were 12-0 last year, how can one think we will be better yet lose more games?
