AJ may be there but I think the Yeldon presence on the team will hurt his chances. And Clowney will probably be there as ESPN will pump him up - much like Woodson from year's past - even though he doesn't need pumping up. Miller and Bridgewater should be there as well. I look for one of them two to win it IF they get to the presentation undefeated, which may be very likely.

I agree about Yeldon. The Woodson vs. Manning debate is a good one. One of the classic Heisman debates of all-time. I'm not going to rehash it, but I hear that both Peyton and Eli acted like total babies when they didn't win the award. Peyton threw a temper tantrum and left NYC immediately.

Many people cite the fact Manning fell flat on his face in the Florida game as the reason he didn't win it, yet Manziel fell flat on his face in both the Florida and LSU games and wasn't penalized the same way. That's going to **** me off until the day I die.

In both instances, I felt that ESPN played way too much of a role by leading the story with "their" candidate of choice. At least Woodson held up his end of the bargain in the pros. JF will more than likely be starring in the reality prison tv show "The Longest Yard" sometime in the near future.

Slightly off topic... what the hel* present do you get in the Manning household at Christmas time?

...I think right now Oklahoma, Michigan, and Stanford are the Irish's three toughest games -. And none of those three would be favored on a neutral site against...Ga...

But...Alabama doesn't play Georgia this year...They play Georgia State.

Ok...well, ND will play Georgia too if they get there. So I guess that one cancels out.

End of the day what does it really matter? Gotta win them anyway. I could care less who Bama has to play in order to win the title again. Although, I do have a soft spot in my "cough, cough," heart for Urban. Would love nothing else than to beat his as* one more time. That never gets old.

I voted for Teddy Bridgewater. I could see Louisville going undefeated this year which would get him serious consideration. He's also by far the best QB in the country.

I would bet big on Miller... I'd take the field against ANYONE just about any year... but if I had to pick one guy this year... Miller.

Yeah, I went with Miller too. A very soft schedule should allow him to pile up big stats all season long.

The dark horse.

Completely agree, DJ is a beast and their O-line should be one of the best in the ACC, and possibly the country.

Either McCarron or Jameis Winston. I think both teams go 13-0.

Surprised at the lack of voting for DeAnthony Thomas. That's my pick. Thank God he didn't go to SC.

If you are marginally favored over three teams, the odds of losing one are much higher than if you are marginally favored over one. The statistics become overwhelmingly against zero or one loss finishes when you add the difference between the other 8 games on the schedule. For example (pulling percentages out of thin air):

.50*2 x .70*2 x .80*2 x .90*3 x .99*3 = 5.5% chance of undefeated season, 71% chance of beating all of the worst six teams on schedule.

.50*3 x .60*3 x .70*2 x .80*3 x .90*1 = 0.6% chance of undefeated season, 22.5% chance of beating all of the worst six teams on the schedule.

So yes, the cumulative effect of playing real teams is VERY significant.

for the money I would split my bet b/w Bridgewater and Clowney. At 12/1 and 14/1 respectfully that seems pretty good for two guys that surely combine for 50/50 or 1/3 chance at it.

Lol, funny you mention this. Literally less than 5 minutes ago I thought to myself, maybe I'll concede this bet and change my avatar sooner to get it over with...

Clowney has been disappointing. I bought into the hype. Shame on me.

“@BFeldmanCBS: Latest Heisman odds: Mariota 8/5; Manziel, Boyd 6/1; Bridgewater 13/2; Jameis 9/1; McCarron 10/1; Murray 12/1 (Bovada)”

I think it's time to change your avatar at ACamp's request NDWorld247.....

I like my pick of "other" to come to fruition with Winston. Think his odds will jump when FSU comes out of Death Valley with a win.

Year of the QB for the Heisman looks like.

“@BFeldmanCBS: More of latest Heisman odds: Seastrunk 20/1; Hundley 25/1; B. Bell; Braxton; DAT; Yeldon & Petty 33/1 (Bovada)”

Problem with the Heisman race right now is that no one has had their "Heisman moment" game so far. The games that we need to see before we can start declaring real Heisman chances are:

October 19th: Florida State @ Clemson (Boyd, Winston)
October 26th: UCLA @ Oregon (Hundley, Mariota, DAT)
November 7th: Oregon @ Stanford (Mariota, DAT); Oklahoma @ Baylor (Seastrunk)
November 9th: Alabama @ LSU (McCarron)
November 23rd: Texas A&M @ LSU (Manziel)

Those will be the deciding games.
