Thanks for the source. If you could give us a link to read, that'd be cherry on top.

If not, what do they think it is that could end his season? Has he had MRI?

No link, Sampson reporting source told him the knee injury was likely season ending. Nothing official from BK yet.

If Nicky Baratti ALSO wasn't hurt, the staff could move him over as a serviceable third DOG, in my opinion. So maybe John Turner could do it.

Don't see how they can know that if he hasn't even had the MRI yet. I'm expecting the worst though

Doctors usually know these things with the MRI more of a formality. If II has sources within the staff (coaching and/or training), which I assume they do, it's not crazy to think they've been tipped off.

This is really going to suck, if true. I was looking forward to Springmann shutting up all of the naysayers this season.

Kona Schwenke and Jarron Jones are gonna need to stand up. And keeping Stockton around looks smarter all the time.

Exactly. Never good news when an MRI is called for a knee injury.

Why are people so down on Jarron, again? The guy is only in his second year, and he didn't even play last season...

Highly recruited/rated, self admittance that he didn't work hard in hs, and add into account when freshman DL like Tuitt, Lynch, and Day came in and had an impact from day 1, people are gonna get a bit down on him.

Because in the spring game he looks like he's going 50% speed when he is (or as a 3rd stringer had better be) busting his ***.

So far he's one of the 5-stars that prove that stars aren't everything. Effort matters.

Yeah but I think a lot of his lack of motor stems from the fact he had to try NOT to hurt other kids when he was younger because he was so much bigger than the other kids and that sometimes is hard to break out of. I think the staff will get him playing tougher now that he is not the biggest "kid" on the field anymore. It just may take a little time.

Unfortunately, he is probably going to have to whether he is ready or not. You need at least a 3 deep along the line and he will have to be in that 3 deep now.

I'm not sure I get this. Rochell was pushing the two deep and was in the three deep by default before any injury to Springmann. Regardless, I think Rochell is ready to contribute this year. I see him having a comparable freshman season to Sheldon Day last year.

IF Springmann is out, do you guys think the staff will move Romeo to DE?

Romeo is 3rd string CAT & DOG per the ISD report.

Not positive report on Jarron :(... said he is content to just stand at a stalemate with blockers and has no push off the edge. Said he saw some of the second team reps but there was also a time where it was Rochell & Utupo

if that is what he is content with, I think it's more than obviously clear now that he needs to beef up to NT. Not 350 like Nix, but in the 320 range where he can just fill a gap and that's it..

simply think Jarron is one year away from being the player we were hoping for. Spme guys simply require more development time.

The only problem is, with the way we recruit on the DL, and the quantity and quality of players at the position, if he takes too long, he's gonna be passed over. Even in college, there is a "now or never" moment for a kid.

It would be too difficult to bulk Romeo up at this point. If the injury had happened in the spring then maybe they could have gotten him there in terms of weight.
