So Eifert and Te'o likely go first round next year. Who else? If Big Lou kills it this year is he a first rounder? Any chance Zach Martin has a great year and moves up to first round consideration? Left tackles are highly regarded, we shall see.

Because of our experience on the Oline, I'm betting one squeezes in the first round. 3-4 irish in the first round next year?!!?!?

Nice!

Te'o will be in the first. Eifert will go second round. I don't think Martin is a first round talent. Slaughter and Motta are two I would keep an eye on for making big jump this year. If KLM can prove he is healthy he could be an early round pick. Cave also has a shot of being an early round pick if healthy.

YUMMMMMM!!!!

This plate of crow tastes delicious....

I deserve every thing you guys throw at me. I said Harrison wouldn't sniff the first round. But there is always a team dumb enough to draft special teams that high, I guess.
So let me have it.

So you already ate crow...what will you eat when Harrison is starting in the defensive backfield? Vikings had a need on got a quality player to fill it.

Like left tackle Matt Kalil, their first selection of the night, Smith will fill a glaring need at an important position. The 6-foot-2, 213-pound Smith was a four-year starter for the Fighting Irish who spent about one-third of his college career as an outside linebacker. All seven of his interceptions for Notre Dame came during his junior season.

Yes, but I thought fresh pics would be a nice addition.

If camera's cut to her as often as Kurt Warner's wife I can deal with this pick.

Sorry, I didn't mean to infer that we talked about players tweets from last night. I meant to say the topic of "Kelly's guys" has been discussed enough.

Currently jumping/sliding cross the crib for my boy Harry man!!!!!!! Yall don't forget who recruited these guys!!!!!

He is one, I don't know the others.

Thanks Mondo for reminding us....now get back to fading into irrelevence.

I hate when players do this. The first part was great....then he takes a cowardly jab.

Weis is a players coach, its understandable that his recruits have a certain loyalty to him.

Yep Weis recruited you guys, but didn't put a single of his players in the first round. Kelly made Floyd a first round selection. Kelly and staff made Harrison Smith a first round selection.

If you have a problem with ND for firing Weis, that's fine..

But Kelly has nothing to do with that and you should be celebrating the job that he did with those guys to put them in the position to be top picks.

I think Martin projects better as either a RT or Guard in the pros. Doesn't mean he can't be great or a desired commodity there, but potential franchise LT's are usually the ones teams have a hard on for in the 1st round, which may hurt his potential 1st round status.

You nailed it and I completely agree with you. Martin is at the most 6'4" which isn't ideal for LT in the NFL. I think his best position in the NFL will be at guard.

Edit: Was going to rep you, but I can't rep you anymore.

Good one Armando....jack@$$

Just recruiting the guy doesn't matter. DEVELOPING them is what matters. Ask Blackmon. He was a 3star who was DEVELOPED into the #1 WR in this draft. BK is the one DEVELOPING these players.

CW developed Brady. BK will get credit for developing Floyd, Smith, Teo, and the rest TBD. Developing the players is what matters.

To change direction but stick w/ the draft....

You cannot help but notice the direct correlation between 1st rounders from the SEC and the National Championships in that conference. I hate how the SEC operates. But there's no denying it's football factory status. They win. They put guys in the League. The first round is littered w/ guys from that conference year after year it seems. ND has had three first rounders in five years. Alabama had four just in 2012.

Doesn't Martin have another year of eligibility after the upcoming season?
If so, he needs to return and dominate for two more years if he hopes to be a first rounder.

Depending on a few circumstances I could see three first rounders next year.
-If a late picking team (Houston?) needs a TE
-If Wood kills it this year
-Could see Teo as a Steeler or Raven next year

Overall I think Cave, Riddick, and Slaughter all get drafted too.
