No they couldn't that would make them a "big fat little b!tch".

Yep, whenever someone starts a thread to tell how they are leaving and all that crap, I think "What a big fat little bitch" and I am glad they are gone.

Yah so lets jam the presidents inbox with stupid crap like this instead of getting back to work and fixing everything.

I'm not sure you're really getting their point: Presidents don't actually fix anything.

The "Great Society" was supposed to fix poverty.

The "No Child Left Behind" was supposed to fix our public schools.

The "War on Drugs" was supposed to handle the drug problem.

Shall I go on? The Feds have taken social security receipts for decades and put them into the budget, and now that the Baby Boomers are retiring--there's no money. Medicaid/medicare are in dire straights as well--and talk of reform is political suicide. The US Postal Service is an utter disaster. The Feds choose corporate interest over citizen interests, and the same goes for massive unions.

Then they go and sign the NDAA so that they can lock Americans up for forever without trial if they really want, and continue to launch undeclared wars!

The last time we declared a war was 1942. The last time we had a balanced budget was like 1960.

So yeah, I can understand why some people might be fed up. Pun intended.

Just because you used italics doesn't mean its cool do act like a dick

I'm going to give you a lesson of "dickness". I was just messing with you guys because quite a few of you go all "Nazi" over politics here. I never partake because i come here for my football fix. Tonight i couldn't resist the temptation to jump in and go against the grain to ruffle a few feathers. Call it an early "April Fools".... Like i said Don't get hard Peter.... Who's the Dick now? You got all worked up over nothing... While you were pounding keys and getting worked up i was having a sip of my favorite red wine laughing at your investigative work.

How can i be a dick? Just because you don't agree with what you thought i was thinking? That makes you a Penis my friend...

uhh.... dude.... Clinton had a balanced budget in '98...

No he didn't. Congress included social security receipts, like always.

It's the equivalent of using your retirement to pay for your credit card. That's why there is no money in the "lock box" for Baby Boomers and my generation.

And I should be very clear on this: Clinton is at best fourth in line to get credit for balancing the budget. Newt Gingrich is #1, the ending of the Cold War is #2, and the internet and economic boom is #3.

In 1995 the Clinton administration even went so far as to say "balancing the budget is not one of our top priorities." The 1994 Clinton budget envisioned deficits of $203b, $175b, $205b, $210b and $210b in 1998. The Republican House aimed to balance the budget in seven years, and did it in four. The deficits went: $203b (as laid out in the budget), but then $164b, $107b, $22b and then +$60b. Clinton didn't do that. He got BJ's while it happened.

What he did do is decide that the government should actively try to get everyone a house, you know, the American Dream.

It's funny how Bush gets that blame.

None of these states would run for 90 days before begging to come back. We should really let Mississippi and some of the other states leave too. They bring down our education rate, raise our obesity rates, and waste money. Let them establish some theocracy and ban evolution.

If Texas secedes, the Right is ****ed for every election from here on out. They rely on Texas' electoral votes.

Wanting to secede from our great union because you don't like that the popular vote and the electoral vote fairly decided a president you don't like is cowardly.

Frankly, I think it is the exact opposite of what our country is suppose to be about. It's simply unpatriotic in the exact definition of the word.

If some state wants to leave our country then I say GO. We don't need you if you are going to bail on the rest of us as soon as things don't go your way. Don't ask us for our help when the next hurricane comes, or when you can't protect yourselves from attack or you don't have enough tax revenue to properly outfit schools and hospitals.

Get *ucked, if you ask me.

I agree with all you're saying but the bolded, but the Texas Secessionist Movement has been going on for years.

Honestly Texas would do fine on their own. Not gonna happen though.

Except they would lose the oil, the military bases, NASA, and a bunch of government jobs. Not to mention their education system wouldn't bode well for a bright future.

Furthermore, they would lose a large amount of their population that disagreed with succession and left. They simply wouldn't have the tax revenue to support their current infrastructure.

The problem they would have is that their most logical trading partner would be the US but there is many people here that wouldn't want to trade with them if they did secede. Also they would have to creat tons of programs, come up with a military etc. Not super feasible if they only had a short period of time to figure it out. I think it is much harder than they think it would be.

Listen J/A we're from the same town and I have no idea how you can talk about overweight and education rates in schools. It exists here too.

I'd take that response as you never protested anything. In fact if you do protest in a large enough group you get put in jail. I would know i spent 3 days in jail for protesting in a group larger then 15. It was a peaceful protest, signs and singing. We all got arrested for inciting a riot.

Fact is most people are soft belly's that wouldn't stand up for anything they believe in because they're scared of what they'd lose. That is exactly what the our great gov't wants from all of us is to live in fear.

Yes, just months ago, all of those Occupy Wall Streeters were thrown in jail from the day they squatted in the park. Oh wait, no they didn't, they were there for months. You could tell by the smell.
