800ish as an underclassmen is more than solid, and 800ish at Syracuse more than solid, but 800ish in the 90s as an underclassman and with a crap QB (before McNabb) is pretty great. 3 years in a row he had 750+ yards and averaged around 20 yards a catch. That's really really good even without the one year with McNabb.

His measurements are close to that of Deebo Samuel from the Combine last year. Deebo came in at 5'11, but had arm length of 31 3/8 and hands of 10 inches. Jordan was about an inch taller, but had similar arm length but a bit smaller hands.

People's fascination with physical measurables is pretty funny.

There are countless smaller receivers in both college and NFL that have been very productive as a #1 receiver.

Yes because I clearly said he could not be a #1 reciever at 6'0. JFC we have some ninnies on this board at times.

It's harder. That's all I said. 6'2 projects better than 6'0. It's not a determinative factor but it's not rocket science that taller is better.

I am with you. The additional size can make up for other parts of the game. It just means that route running and hands need to be that much better. Based on everything we know at the moment, that certainly seems to be the case.

Neither was mine, just find it funny how a concern about measurements turns into an opportunity for everyone to "akshually" with their favorite All-Pro with the same characteristic.

My favorite thing to do when we find out that a receiver is shorter than his listed height is to rehash all of the short #1 receiver types that BK has coached, dating back to UC or even CMU days.

Did you guys know that Mardy Gilyard was really good as a #1 outside receiver when asked to line up outside of the hash marks even though he was short???

Wasn't Dan Quinn his OC during that time? .... Convenient that were missing an OC and bringing in a Gilyard like receiver? I think not....

Like with Mayer, I’m not too worried about length. Because of the physicality they play with. Jordan mauls dudes. He’ll physically own guys in camp and we’ll question our DB group.

Being a Colts fan and watching pretty much every game Harrison ever played, Peyton benefited as much from having Harrison as Harrison did from having Manning.
Harrison is #9 in all time yards. If he had played one more year, it's conceivable he would have finished in the top 5. Held the record for most catches in a season for 17 years. I believe he is #2 for most yards in a season. You have to be pretty good to get those numbers when you had a legitimate #1 receiver in Reggie Wayne on the opposite side of the field.

Yep, they're called the exception, not the rule. Let's not pretend like measurables aren't significant. That said, it's not like this dude is a dwarf.
