Same school as Kirk Merritt who I liked a lot at the end of the cycle a few years ago.

Sam Spiegelman, a Louisiana Rivals analyst, put in a "futurecast" pick for us. Whatever that is.

This kid won't stay a 3-star for long. Great size and excellent burst out of the backfield. A textbook north-south runner.

We need a back like him to pair with someone like Tyree, McClain or Robinson.

really like his tape.

The Jonas Gray comp above is perfect. Kid is very fast and big. Guarantee he finishes in the top 30 RBs

I dont love his film much as some of you. I think hell be solid. Adrian Foster is the comparison I see.

I'm never impressed with RB highlights where they just outrun opponents because they are the greatest athlete on the field. I'm impressed when the RB shows quick cuts, great vision, decisive decision making and looks to follow his blocks and find the holes within the blocking scheme. Kyle Edwards does this 95% of the time. I'd be very pleased to have him in this class.

He'll be solid, but you compare him to an all-pro RB?

Right? That's like saying someone is undersized and I don't see a high ceiling....reminds me of Barry Sanders.

to be fair, he compared him to Adrian Foster (born 19 March 1971 in Kidderminster) who is an English footballer and manager. He played several seasons in the Football League during the 1990s before dropping down into non-league football and not Arian Foster the former NFL running back

Ahhh that makes more sense. Koon's film breakdown is deep and extensive. I don't know how he has the time to ball out at work and in the film breakdown game. Truly a gift to us all.

In Koon's defense, Arian Foster only had one good college season. He may have been injured, but idk. He went undrafted before having a good NFL career.

So, Arian Foster wasn't always a bonafide stud.

But I'm sure Koon wasn't thinking of Adrian Foster in that context. He was thinking Houston Texan Foster. So keep em coming guys :)

FWIW, LSU 247 guys think he will be bumped pretty good. Lots of buzz about him being very good. Commented that he is as good or better than a 94 rated player.

The whole take 1 RB/Cullen Coleman situation will be interesting to watch.

He doesn't appear to be an elite athlete but he does look like a solid running back. I'm not advocating either way but after seeing Ray Grahm go to the races against us then running a 4.8 at the combine there's nothing to say Edwards won't have a good college career.
