He's further along as a run defender at this point and it's possible if not likely he'll be best suited inside long term, given he's already 275 pounds. That's untrue. He had very real concerns about "making it at ND".

That's why I liked OSU for this one. He obviously became confident and comfortable with ND over time, and ND did a great job, specifically Adam Seargent (spelling).

Glad they closed the deal and the kid is confident in his choice.

After three unofficial visits and the staff clearly making him a priority, Mills not going to Notre Dame was always extremely unlikely. With that being said, it wouldn’t have been the first time ND beat writers were misleaded by information.

Lets just be happy that the staff has put together back-to-back championship level d-line recruiting classes.

When a kid has questions about the course work at ND, they don't typically end up here. This one wasn't obvious because of that.

I'm glad Rylie thought diligently about that, and considered it without blindly saying "whatever I can handle it", only to get overwhelmed. I'm also glad he learned enough about ND to feel comfortable enough to pull the trigger. This was a win-win and I credit the kid for taking his time and making sure he felt comfortable without being naive.

I guess we’ll see but he’s 50 lbs lighter than Tillery when enrolling. I’ve always thought he’d slide inside but Tillery wasn’t rocking a six pack at 18.
