Looking at the schools above, he would be great in Brohm's offense at Purdue with Rondale Moore and Bell.

Mike Singer reporting some new some news on him from the Rivals challenge. Apparently Redding is not sold on FSU. In fact Singer flat out said that if ND wants him he thinks ND would be the favorite, however they would have to contend with Purdue as well. Gotta love recruiting.

Singer also said that he thinks Redding is ranked a bit too high. he still thinks there is a lot to clean up from a technical standpoint and he is not as good of an athlete compared to Brunelle and others. He thought his rating should be in the 200 to 250 range.

Soooo... Jordan Johnson, Xavier Watts and then one of either Brunelle or Redding perhaps?

Not mad at that WR class

I think the staff needs to do whatever they can to get Brunelle kid is gonna end up being one of the best WR's out of this class

On the record, told Loy he was going to OV and commit to ND in June. ND wanted him to hold off. Now taking his spot at Miami.

As mentioned before, this was always ND’s decision.

Don't like the idea of passing here. Not sure what the game plan is with WR and DB recruiting but I'm not a fan at this point. The staff has done this countless times and they've been screwed over damn near every time.

Agreed 100%.

A lot of us bemoaned this decision from the ND staff, will be one of many in this cycle to look back on in 3 years and see who got it right.

Have read it from ND and non-ND sources alike that he's probably not s good as his ratings. He has nearly identical measurables as Brunelle so you aren't missing out on that skillset. With Johnson, Brunelle and Watts in the class you don't miss Redding individually, but if you passed on him because you thought he was a redundancy and felt that adding Henning and/or McMillan was a probability then that's still a miss.

Then again, there are other guys out there that ND is in contct with, is aware of or that will emerge in the fall.

If he had to take his spot somewhere, and people weren't ready or willing to hold off for him, then I'm not as upset. Nothing wrong with taking your spot somewhere and wish him nothing but the best.

I'll try to remember the guy so I can decide if we made the right decision.

This. ALL the rivals guys said he did not look like he played to his rating when they saw him live. They ALL said he did not look like a natural pass catcher.

A (hopefully) fun exercise in 2023: Compare our class against the sizable class of four-stars who had significant interest in ND but who we ultimately recruited over or decided we didn’t have room for.
On paper it’s a pretty impressive group: Redding, Mullins, Simon, Atteberry, Zinter, Tirek Murphy, many more I’m not thinking of. Hopefully the guys we took wind up more impressive.

I don't think so. If they want a 4th WR (assume they get Watts) I think they could flip him.
Literally said he would no longer consider ND because of what happened in the article above...
