Is this site safe for work? Anything starting with x cant be good…
If you don't mind seeing BK with his shirt off and man milkers drooping like two socks filled with mashed potatoes grinding his jalapeno pepper hammock on some recruits....then I would avoid it at work.....

You save that for the bedroom. I'm sure it would get the Mrs. ready for action. ;)

To be clear, he may start game 1 but it doesn't sound like it's because he beat Pyne... Pyne is injured and isn't expected to be ready for the start of the season.

hamstring injury, return unknown lol

Dillingham said “I got a curveball to say the least. I do not know. Before, I kinda had a plan. I think that plan has officially been derailed a little bit.” That seems to imply that Drew was part of the plan.

Starting QBs who went on to became backup QBs for other programs.

BK was way ahead of the curve on this one!
It's a long and illustrious list. Wimbush. Zaire. Golson. I can't remember if Dayne Crist established himself as a starter at Kansas but they were so bad it doesn't really matter.

Which further tells me Rees sucks ass at coaching and developing QBs
What's interesting about this, as others have noted, BK and Saban don't think so. Sam Hartman and CJ Carr don't.

So, while I agree there isn't a lot of obvious or tangible evidence we can look at to disprove this. People that matter clearly disagree.

He’s proven to a be a solid play caller. But the actual, physical proof suggests that he is a below average developer of talent, no matter what Saban or Kelly says.

Didn't he develop

- Win 10 Games w/ slow ass no arm talent Jack Coan
- low 3* into the winningest QB in ND history
- Get 9 wins out of 5'7'' no talent muffin top Drew Pyne
- Have a QB who was hurt ALL year ready and win a bowl Game?

Me seems to think you are trying to fit a narrative you want to fit.

It is wild. In Rees’s case, he was a back up QB who became a starting QB who then became a back up QB to a starting QB who then went on to be a backup QB at another program!

I thought Coan had arm talent prior to his arrival at ND. Maybe I’m wrong.

Regarding last season, it depends on how you look at it. I view it as they won 9 games despite the lackluster QB play and development. They would’ve won 11 games last year if they had a QB worth a shit.

And later, the QB coach! It's head-spinning.

Coan lost his starting job at a lesser program. Maybe that was Wisconsin's mistake (it probably was) but if he was God's gift to quarterbacking he'd have never been transferring in the first place.

It's fair to knock Rees on recruiting and building a pipeline of talent but - and I said this the other day in another of the 15 threads where we debate Tommy Rees endlessly - he has absolutely made the most of the quarterbacks at his disposal in any given season. After the Marshall game last season most here figured we'd go, I dunno, 4-8? The fact that we won as many games as we did with Drew Pyne is absolutely a testament to Rees' skill as a coach.

In an ideal world, Rees is still our OC and we hire Gino to coach QBs.

He was also winning games with backups that didn't sound like lack of development and coaching.

Josh Pate said he thinks Rashada Freshman QB at ASU - otherwise known as Mr NIL or Dante Moore imitator…. Now might start over Drew Pyne. 🤣🤣🤣

F These QBs that bail on ND. Both DP and TB should never have left. Bitches.

You didn’t want Pyne to leave? Why? He was never going to start this year here. I am not a Pyne supporter at all (try sitting through the Cal game from last year in person…), but I don’t blame the guy for going elsewhere. He could’ve waited until after the bowl game, but I think both parties were just ready to be done

It frees up 2 scholarships… we’re lucky they left… Rees thought pyne and Buchner were good enough to not go to the portal. In reality they aren’t good enough to start on power 5 teams

Anyone with two eyes could see Pyne was not good and Buchner was too raw to be reliable. Rees and Freeman surely did too.
Yep, but 8-4 we go. You never wish injury on anyone but we lose to cal with Buchner and probably a few others. Pyne wasn’t good but for the most part he could run the offense, as limited as it was called.

Yea the days of guys like Tommy Rees, who had the job and lost it to a younger QB and still stuck around luckily for 2013 are gone.
