love the film. Wouldn't mind using him as an APB as well. Possible conversion to corner? Looks like he has the athleticism to do it.

He definitely has more experience at DB than WR. He was an All Conference DB as a Sophomore.

As others have said, Kendall brings a lot to the table, part of that is position flexibility.

Huh? He hasn't played defense since his sophomore year from the stats I've seen. Did I miss defensive stats? He's all offense from what I've seen, although I'm sure he's athletic enough to flip.

That's exactly what I said in my post. He played DB as a sophomore.

Who was the last player from Southern Illinois to sign with ND, Jerome Heavens?

While your statement of having more experience on the offensive side of the ball is true, he has almost no experience at WR. It's almost entirely at QB.

Ahh, got you. I was definitely wrong, I was seeing total yardage and assumed that meant he was receiving a large chunk of those but it looks like he's mostly a APB/QB hybrid?

I didn't know this and sorry if it has already been discussed, but he was first team All-State last year in 8A (biggest class in IL) as a quarterback.

He seems to be a true jack of all trades. I know he's coming in as a receiver, but I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the Jafar Armstrong route; I love having running backs with excellent ball skills. This is a really nice pickup.

Six touchdowns in a losing effort...we don't see that very often. Wow!

At his game now. Kid is unreal not even half time and he has 2 throwing td’s ( one for 76 yds) and 2 rushing td’s.

Strictly plays QB

Wonder if this has anything to do with '20 RB/WR recruiting

Just my opinion but I don't. I think this has to do with KAR being extremely dynamic with the ball in his hands and it's easier to get him the ball as an RB versus WR. He's never played WR. He's at least ran a zone read offense as the QB, so he has an understanding of that process just from a different perspective. Should be easier than learning how to WR from scratch.

I like it. Probably an easier way to get him on the field and get him the ball.

With KAR at RB, that puts 7 scholarship guys in the RB room right now.

They either feel really good about finding big roles for both pure RB's and tweener RB's, or they don't feel good about the ceiling they're projecting for some guys on the roster.

Pure RB's: Jones, Flemister, Smith
Slash RB's: Armstrong, Davis, Williams, KAR

Wasn't he primarily a QB and RB in HS, and more of a RB his SR year? Thought his stats were pretty small to zero at WR.

Regardless, I think with Taylor's history, we'll start using the RBs more in the passing game.

Almost exclusively a QB than ran a lot of zone read and designed QB runs.
