Kyle Hamilton hasn't laughed at a single one of these. His sense of humor is that advanced.

Every push up Kyle does moves the Earth 33 7/8" out of orbit.

NBC is putting a microphone in Kyle's helmet so he could do play by play while playing.

This thread reminded me of when IE took over Sheppard’s Island Wikipedia page.

Per II, they were informed by Brady Quinn that Kyle had 13 practice INT's prior to his two on Saturday. So, that'd put his total at 15.

Heard that as well. This is setting up to be one of those recruitments we will always remember, either because he panned out on the field and set the record books or because he did so much in his first fall camp, that he could never live up to the expectations.

Per a reliable source. Kyle had an INT in the first half of PSY101. The starting prof was pulled and he had 2 INT's off the sub.

Yep. He laid out for that, too. I haven't been impressed with Gilman this season. He goes for the strip every time instead of the tackle

Yeah I know it’s not like Gilman has any picks this year also....

Enjoy him while you can. Cuz he gone after 3.

If ND can continue recruiting guys like this each and every year then there shouldn't be any severe drop-offs in on-field performance/talent and I won't be too "aw shucks". Fingers crossed.

the great thing w/ Hamilton was we were on him extremely early when he was a low picking piece of fruit as a 3*. staff identified his talent very early which ended up being the winners of the 5* sweepstakes....

I would put them neck and neck, but I think Hamilton has had a bigger impact so far in this career.

Agree he's had more of an impact than Jaylon his freshman year and it's not close.

Not sure that remains true, but it could given how bad Jaylon's coaching was and Hamilton is in good hands. Jaylon was the more talented player but that doesn't equal production.

I'd give the edge to Hamilton since he's got another 9 games to play but it's probably closer than you're giving credit for. Jaylon through 12 games had 58 tackles, 5.5 TFL's, 1 INT, 3 PD, 1 FF, and 1 FR.

Now Hamilton is certainly on a really good pace with 9 tackles, 0 TFL's, 2 INT's, 2 PD, but I'm not sure those numbers through 4 games mean it's not close.

While I agree that Hamilton looks very promising and that Jaylon Smith was extremely talented, it would be hard to top Manti Teo's 2012 season. I realize that Manti wasn't a Brian Kelly recruit, but his 2012 season was something special. And he did play for Brian Kelly in 2012.

Hamilton has at least a couple seasons of eligibility left, so he may very well end up the best defensive player in Kelly's tenure. He is certainly off to a good start.

The question was freshman season. Who has had a bigger impact as a freshman.
