Georgia Tech, Stanford, Vandy and PRINCETON offers, along with the traditional southern big dogs... maybe ND and the other nerds will have a fighting chance in this one.

How many Georgia recruit offers do we have out there? Seems like every new recruits profile is from Georgia.

I remember a prospect from Buford... didn't turn out too well.

Still too soon?

Ohio State is supposedly recruiting him as a Center

Georgia is recruiting him for the "interior" of the OL (which could possibly be Guard or Center)

I have no clue what spot we are recruiting him at.

Likely visiting for Junior Day on March 3rd.

Got to imagine the he's being recruited as an interior lineman, just don'tsee him as a OT at the next level.

Actually his OT tape is really nice. He doesn't have the ideal LT frame of Carroll or Olmstead but he's about as good on film as you'll find.

His line mates are pretty stellar. Carter Colquitt is hearing from Quinn. He's a 6-6/300 OT. Aub/Vandy lead 15 P5's. Then there's Riley Simonds who has Bama, Aub, VT... everyone but UGA... for now. No wonder Aaron McLaughlin's the #1QB/#1 Overall in 2021. No one can get to him.

We all thought Hainsey was a sure fire interior guy too

I think his playing time last season was a reflection of how much experience he got as IMG's 2 year starting LT and HH quietly telling us he didn't like his other options.

Still thinks he finds his way inside where his limitation in length doesn't hamper his ceiling. Would make a great captain at OC.

Maybe right reading Harry's mind, but to me it felt more like Harry REALLY liked Hainsey as a future star and REALLY liked Big Tommy too. I thought that both of them were outplaying Bars on that side by the latter half of the season (and I felt that Bars was very good.)

This is why I see our OLine as having the equivalent of four VERY good returning starters despite having lost the two giants. If Quinn can shuffle them into place and one of Eichenberg, Banks, or Lugg can plough with those horses, we are going to be another kick-a$$ OLine even seeing the two big boys graduate.

As to young Mr. Miller: please come to what still is OLine U.

"Interior" didn't deter him from including both OSU and UGA in his top 5 along with ND, Clemson, and Stanford.

... and if he's OK with "Interior", knowing that ZMart, NMart, and Watt are in the NFL at those spots, and Q is about to join them can't hurt. "Interior" is now not only good but lucrative.

On campus today.

Has officially moved into #1 a/b/c with Olmstead and Carroll for this class. His Sophmore film was very good, his Junior film is excellent. If this guy was a real 6-6, he'd be the #1 player in the class. I think he's a thicker Hainsey at this point.

Interesting sidenote: I just checked in on his teammate Carter Colquitt's whereabouts for this weekend and saw he tweeted about heading to UGA. Colquitt was one of the first players Quinn followed after he got the gig. If Colquitt is heading to UGA for a function, nice to know Miller was willing to pass it up for JDII.

Away from the field... Valedictorian and missionary work overseas. Homelife is definitely dialed in.

An RKG's RKG.

I want him in this class because he's a very good football player and also because I want a guy whose name sounds like it should be in Urban Dictionary.

"Gave her the ol' Harry Miller."

Bill Greene added a CB for OSU.

How does an O lineman who's a student of his caliber and willing to leave GA go to Ohio St and not ND or Stanford? Especially when UGA leap-frogged the Buckeyes in the Who can dethrone Bama race?

Did I miss something? Is he Braxton Miller's younger brother?

Wiltfong on Bucknuts Morning 5 last week and stated he believes pOSU with a slight lead over Clemson and Stanford.

Wiltfong would not rule out Georgia but said Harry wants to major in Engineering and Wiltfong thinks that Georgia's engineering program is probably holding them back.

Wiltfong didn't mention Notre Dame which I can only assume he gives ND about as much shot at Georgia.

Strange. ISD just mentioned that they were told Miller is serious about giving ND a shot

Wiltfong wasn't ruling out Georgia and I'm assuming is not ruling out ND either. His sense is that pOSU, Clemson and Stanford are a little higher up the board.

He's probably the best overall OL in the class but like I just said in the Nick Cross thread, hard to be upset with one guy trending elsewhere when they lead for so many guys in the same tier at that position.

Harry Miller's Top 5

Stanford - Top Engineering Program by a wide, wide margin in FBS
Notre Dame - Top 25 Engineering Program
Ohio State - Top 30 Engineering Program
Georgia - Not Ranked, not a good program
Clemson - Not Ranked, not a good program

I hate to say it, but if this kid ACTUALLY wants to study engineering then its not even a decision. Go to Stanford dude. Great OL development, great player development/coaching, and far and away the best engineering program you can go to. I don't understand how these 17 year olds can't get better advice as to warding off these used car salesmen

While I understand your point, it's never that cut and dry. That might be his highest priority criteria, but it doesn't mean it's the only criteria he's evaluating when making his decision.

Stanford has just two players with real engineering majors. One is a walk on and of course, the other is OL Nick Wilson who is on the depth chart and lives 10 minutes from Harry in Georgia. lol

I understand there is more to think about then just academics. Notre Dame & Ohio State have good programs too, but my point is picking Georgia or Clemson just don’t make sense with those most important factors in a decision. Kids over and over again make these decisions that just don’t add up.

Wiltfong said that Harry Miller did fill out an application to Stanford "just in case". So we'll have to wait and see where this ends up.
